"I am so bloody excited! I can't believe this is our new home for the next 4 years!" Sophie yelled as she jumped out of the cab and started to do a little dance of happiness. Abela followed, rolling her eyes as she grabbed her ragged old suitcase out of the trunk of the cab. She had to tell the cab driver not to touch her bag because you had to grab it the right way or it would just fall apart. She was already nervous about bringing this old granny bag with her to a polished school like this one, she definitely didn't need to have it spill apart on the ground to show her just as old and torn under garments. That's a good way to make new friends.

"Soph, calm down people are staring." Abela protested. She laid the suitcase on its rollers and pulled it to follow her and Sophie.

Abela has been friends with Sophie since secondary school. It's actually an absurd story on how they became friends. Sophie became Abela's body guard after catching one of the girls that were a grade above them ,named Sara Lynch, making fun of Abela's frizzy auburn curls. She liked to call her orphan Annie and of course Sophie was not having it with her girls support girls complex her mother imbedded in her. Sophie decided one day during lunch to sit by Sara and start up a conversation. At first Abela thought Sophie decided she didn't want to be friends with her anymore but as she watched she could see scissors behind Sophie's back. One second Sophie was yelling and pointing to the sky and the next she was slicing half of Sara's beautiful black hair off. After that day Sophie never left Abela's side. Of course that was also after Sophie was allowed to come back to school after traumatizing Sara. Most people were scared of Sophies outgoing personality and strange approaches to life situations but Abela loved it. Made her feel...less weird.

"I've been dreaming of coming to University of Manchester since I crawled out of my mothers black hole!" Sophie spit out as she stopped rolling her suitcase to stare at this large castle people call a school. You really couldn't see much of the school standing this close to it. It seemed like the bricks just kept going and never stopped. Abela rubbed the back of her neck from staring upwards too long. The sun was so bright today looking up for too long could make someone go blind.
Abela cuffed her hand over her forehead to shade her eyes.

University of Manchester. This had been their dream school for years. Granite, most of the reasons were because Abela loved the dark academia look and this school screamed it and she dreamed of becoming a big time author and this school had 2 of British's best top sellers graduate here, Emelia Black and Lucius Williams. Of course she had read every one of Emelias books and been to one of her book signings. When she met Emelia she asked her what gave her the idea for her first book and Emelia said University of Manchester did. She said the experience, the love, the friends she made inspired her. Every page she wrote were in different places here with memories she made. She even laughed saying sometimes she could hear the walls whisper the words to her and she would write them down. Emelia opened Abela's eyes to a fantasy this school could fill in her. She was craving to see what the walls would speak to her.
Sophie mostly just wanted to come for the huge parties they have every year. With her dirty blonde hair, big blue almond shaped eyes, and sharp features she was able to pull every guy she set her eyes on. Sophie didn't mind that she was mostly looks either. She was smart but could use her looks to her advantage and she knew it. That's why she always got herself out of trouble....and she got in trouble a lot.

They emerged out of their hypnoses state the school had put them in and continued on through a huge archway with dark green vines clinging to the bricks for their dear lives. As they walked through the arch the sun disappeared and they entered into a wrap around hall that had an outdoor courtyard with trees in the middle. Students were in small groups laughing and talking about their summers. They all seemed so conformable like they had been going here for years. This place had been so big, the girls really didn't know where to go. Abela pulled out a drawing she had made of the school and started looking around trying to figure out if left or right would take them to their room.
