"Let's go on a date!" I screamed in Jayceono's face, sitting on his lap. He payed no heed as he continued going through some reports and occasionally signing at the end of it.
"We are not a couple, Ziva." He replied with a stern expression. I pouted. "And get off me, you are heavy."
I needed to think of different ways to annoy him and bring out the real Jayceono from three years ago who didn't sit at one place for more than five seconds. The one who liked dressing up as Patrick on Halloween and then twerking in front of middle aged women.
Not the one whose lap I was sitting on, the organized, sophisticated, boring Jayceono whose usual expression was enough for Halloween.
I booped his nose, put two of my fingers inside his nose at once, bit his lips, rubbed my head on his stubble, squeezed his cheeks together (which one doe? 👀☕️) and even tried to lick his eyes but he did nothing, nothing except reading the reports and acting as if I was non existent.
I acted as if everything was normal, that was the best thing I could do. And it kind of worked because if I thought about the constant ticking noise inside my head, it only increased to the point that I felt myself slipping away.
Tick tick tick tick...
The truth was, even after getting discharged from the hospital, things weren't back to normal. The constant ticking was always there, and after reading that crumpled note, the ticking increased even more. Just this time, it didn't feel that bad because as promised, Jayceono was paying more attention to me and taking care of me.
Basically, my personal slave.
And it was fun making him do things for me.
Making him get ice-cream for me, massaging my legs, personally cooking for me, telling him to put on a maid's dress at night and boy did he look juicy.
But the only condition was, he would give all of his attention to me at night. During the day, he wanted his own space to work and concentrate on it fully, with no distractions.
So here I was, on his lap, singing Barbie girl at the top of my lungs.
Again, he acted as if I was invisible.
I let out an exasperated sigh and rested my head against his chest. Suddenly my heartbeat started going crazy, my breathing got fast and unsteady and the ticking inside my head increased to the point that my face cringed in pain but I tried to keep it in. I didn't notice that I was shaking lightly.
Not even five seconds later, I felt a hand circling around my waist and slowly rubbing my back. The ticking went away real quick followed by the panicky feeling and a smile spread across my face.
I lifted my head and pressed a small kiss on his lips. He looked at me for a second before looking away at the papers in front of him, blushing a little.
"Didn't you say you will give me all your attention?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.
"I did but the clause it in was that I will provide my utmost attention only after my work was done." He replied, adjusting me on his lap, so that now I was sitting sideways and he had a better access to the documents in front of him. I almost thought he would toss me across the end of the room. I started playing with hair, twirling the hair strands.
"I knowwww but I'm boreeedd and I wanna have some funnnn. Okay at least give me a case to solve or something." I mumbled the last sentence and he sighed. "What? Do you think I'm incapable? Are you looking for a fight? Don't give me the crap saying "Oh I can't, I'm trying to protect you." Protect you my ass, I'm a CIA agent and I can fucking fight, and if you say something like "Oh but you're a girl, you shouldn't" I will honestly make you eat dirt." I released the breath I was holding in.
