Junkyu's POV

"Can I sit here?" Haruto asked.

I shrugged but Sana replied enthusiastically, "Sure!"

I rolled my eyes. Sana had been following Haruto around these days and I was sure she was delighted that Haruto wanted to sit with us. Could it be that...she likes Haruto?

No Kim Junkyu, she'll know better.

I missed Akari so much. If only she was here, we could do so much together.

"So, Haruto," Sana tucked in her fringe and squealed. What was wrong with her?

"Tell me more about yourself," she gushed.

"Well, I assume you guys know me through Akari."

"Don't talk about Akari now, she's not here," Sana snapped.

I was taken aback. Wasn't Akari her best friend? Why-

"Do you wanna go out after school?" Sana suggested.

What was she thinking?

"I guess I'm free," Haruto shrugged.

After lunch, I grabbed Sana.

"What the hell is wrong with you? You do know Akari and Haruto are dating right? How can you go out with him when Akari is absent?" I questioned.

"Chill, we're just friends."

Just friends? I scoffed and walked back to class.

"Ya, Junkyu-ah, wait for me!" Sana called out behind me.

I should trust Sana. She's my step-sister, and she's so close to Akari. She wouldn't do anything to...steal Haruto, would she?

I caught Sana stealing glances at Haruto during class. What was really wrong with her? Normal Sana would focus no matter what.

Haruto avoided contact with her as he tried to focus.

"Sana, stop it, focus!" I poked her with a pen. She rolled her eyes.

After school, I caught up with Sana.

"Sha, I'm in a good mood today. Do you wanna go to the amusement park?" I asked as she shook her head.

"I'm going out with Haruto, remember? What are you trying to do Junkyu? Are you against Haruto and I?" Sana suspected.

"Mwo?! Jjinja- Is that what you really think of me? I can't be bothered with you Sana," I huffed and turned to walk away.

"Junkyu-ah!" Sana called behind me.

Sana's POV

"Junkyu-ah!" I called behind Junkyu but he stomped off angrily.

I sighed and looked at my shoes before someone smacked me from behind.

"Haruto?" I turned around as he played with his bangs and waved.

"Come on," Haruto dragged me to the park.

It was my chance now. I attempted to fake-trip as I landed in Haruto's arms. Just as I had planned.

I knew I shouldn't be doing this because of Akari, but I really liked Haruto. For real. I'm sorry Akari, but I might have to take advantage of the fact you're overseas.

After all, Akari had Asahi Hamada didn't she? She didn't deserve someone like Haruto anyways.

No, Sana, you can't think that. But I couldn't control it. 

"By the way, why have you been following me everywhere these days?" Haruto asked.

"I-" I stuttered. "It's-"

Haruto raised his eyebrow as I took a deep breath.

"I like you Haruto," I muttered.

"Just as I had guessed," Haruto shrugged.

"Look uh, Sana right?"

"You know I'm dating Akari," he scratched the back of his head as I nodded.

"I can't-" Haruto sighed.

"Haruto, I know what you're thinking. You can't be unfaithful, but have you ever wondered what Akari is doing right now?" I probed.

"She's with Hamada Asahi, Haruto. You have no idea what they're doing." I pressed on.

"Well, trust is part of a healthy relationship isn't it?" Haruto insisted.

"Sometimes, I don't know what you're thinking," I sighed and looked away.

"I guess...we could be friends?" Haruto suggested.

My heart sank but I shrugged.

"Sure. We're friends."
