----Timeskip to the next year----
Bokuto and Akaashi lay atop a grassy hill as the warm October sun sets behind the mountains. The two talked, but were mostly in silence. Occasionally, Akaashi would look at Bokuto and crack a small smile.
He was nervous. "In, and out. Just breathe Keiji," he thought, taking deep breaths.
"So, sunset's nice this evening huh? The younger trembled sightly, butterflies were coming. "Yeah, sure is!" replied Bokuto
Akaashi sighed and took another deep breath. "Hey, Bokuto-San?" Bokuto turned his head to look Akaashi in the eyes. "So, uhm.. I- I can't do this. Can you sit up?" Akaashi thought his heart was going to burst through his chest.
"Yeah, sure." The horned owl responded, sitting up and facing Akaashi. The smaller boy exhaled, closing his eyes. During that short period, Akaashi had let his guard down and felt a pair of surprisingly soft, and warm pair of lips rest against his.
He was confused, but happy, and surprised. He couldn't express himself other than just sitting and staring as his fingers slightly caressed his lips.
"You think I don't notice how you look at me?" Bokuto hooted playfully. "U-unless.. I was wrong and you don't like me back and I did that and you're straight and and-" he panicked. Akaashi had cut Bokuto off with a simple "Don't worry, I like you too."
As the two looked at each other Akaashi swore he saw heaven in Bokuto's eyes. The way the sun shone perfectly on his face and hands he looked like he was glowing. Almost like an angel.
Bokuto soon jumped at Akaashi giving him a huge hug. Akaashi was clearly caught off guard, and the momentum of the jump made the two roll down the hill. Luckily they landed in a patch of soft flowers.
"Tch, you idiot." Akaashi chuckled, reaching for Bokuto's hand.
Bokuto gladly accepted Akaashi's request to hold his hand.
The lovebirds laid in the flowers for a little bit longer before getting up and walking back up the hill.
Once back at the top of the hill Akaashi lay on Bokuto's chest. They hold hands and point out stars they liked. "The stars look brighter than usual." Akaashi pointed out "Yeah.." replied Bokuto, he was too busy burying his face in Akaashi's hair. "His hair smells like straberries." He thought peacefully
"Bokuto-San, we should head back soon. It's almost 11:30." Akaashi murmured. "Mmmn" the other groaned, as he was too lazy to get up.
---------------------------------------
As they walked back, Bokuto got hungry so he begged Akaashi to stop for meat buns.
"Please 'Kaashi! I'll pay you back!" He pleaded "No," Akaashi replied sternly "I'll pay you back!!" Bokuto wouldn't give up "With what money?" Akaashi scoffed. The owl boy backed up and looked frightened
"Wait, wait- Since when are you Tsukki?!"
"Do I look like I have glasses?" Annoyed Akaashi asked "Well, no.." Bokuto replied as if in dejected mode. "Come on, we're going back home. They're not even going to be open anyway as of how late it is," the curly-haired boy sighed, grabbing Bokuto's hand and dragging him back.
-----------------
When they finally arrived at Bokuto's home they immediately went for Bokuto's room. At first they kinda just laid there, but soon they began hugging. Bokuto was whispering sweet nothings in Akaashi's ear, in which Akaashi enjoyed.
After an intense cuddling session Bokuto got up. "Want a milkshake?" He asked, standing in the doorframe."The one thing I actually know how to make." He continued. "Yeah, sure. Do you have strawberry?" Requested the dark haired individual. "Yep! Feel free to come down if you feel lonely!" The owl babbled. "Uh-huh."
"Geez, just how cold did he set the thermostat to??" Akaashi shivered. He grabbed Bokuto's thick navy blanket to warm back up (y'see what I did there)
He put it over his shoulders, and laid back down on Bokuto's bed. Opening his phone to Twitter to pass time. He smiled as it smelled a lot like the older male.
Bokuto came back up, and with well, not two milkshakes but one with one of those 'lover straws' that are basically just two straws glued together.
"What. The actual. Hell." Akaashi muttered under his breath. Bokuto responded, "What? I mean it's extra big, so it's perfect for the both of us!!"
"When you said you were making milkshakes I thought you meant one for each of us. Not, this-" The annoyed male began.
"Well, more for me then!" The spiky haired boy declared.
Akaashi chimed in, "I never said I didn't want any."
"OH right! sorry.." he replied, sorta depressed.
"It's alright Bokuto-San,"
He sat down on the bed with the milkshake, and got under the covers. "I don't understand how you live in such a cold house. Honestly, how aren't you freezing??" the younger smirked slightly.
"Well, I mean if I get cold I can just cuddle up to you!" Bokuto smiled
"Jumping into a fire would be better than that." he responded. He tried his best not to break character, as that was the cutest thing he'd ever heard in his entire life. Mentally, he was spamming letters, and Bokuto could tell as his face was almost like a strawberry, it. was. red.
"So, wanna watch something?" Akaashi changed the subject. He took the first sip of the milkshake. "Wow, this is actually really good."
"I know, right!" Bokuto smirked
"Wanna watch a rom-com?" he continued
"Why not." the curly haired male answered, chuckling under his breath.
