although it was a question, it came out more of a statement. this making jiyoung regret telling jeno she could manage on her own.

"i-i was, uh, going to take him-"

jaemin cut off before she got the chance to defend her stuttering self, "don't bother. i'll take him to his room. you can go flirt with donghyuck and chenle some more. maybe give jeno a try if you're up for stealing people's boyfriends."

his words were harsh. they were like nothing she had ever heard directed towards someone in real life and she had never thought they'd ever be directed towards her of all people.

and damn, did they hurt like hell.

"i'm sorry?" she finally came back to realization, watching as he helped renjun up and pulled an arm over his shoulder.

"you heard me," he laughed, "go try and flirt some more. it seems like you've done a hell of a job making buddy-buddy with two of the guys, why not try for all six of them, am i right?"

his snarky remark made her nose twitch in disgust and disbelief, "you literally don't know me."

jaemin scoffed, carefully stabilizing renjun who slurred his head back and forth.

"what?" she asked him harsher, getting tired of him.

"nothing. just get out of my house and go back to wherever you came from."

"you're house? i was told this was renjuns."

"you were told what you were because they knew you wouldn't come otherwise. now leave."

jiyoung looked at him for a second longer before leaving, having no energy to fight the idiotic boy.

when she finally got home she took no time texting nayeon about the events that had taken place literally just as she left.
