"i'm a water bender too?"

jiyoung was more than shocked. 

she had never been able to bend water, just having recently learned about her air bending. she thought it was impossible to be able to bend more than one element.

she was probably still right, naturally speaking.

"it's incredible, really. but since you've only just begun showing signs of air bending, it may be days or weeks before you find yourself capable of moving water drop-" jinae stopped her words as she watched jiyoung turn towards the fish tank in the corner of her room.

her fingers pointed outward, palms facing towards each other while staying body width length away from one another.

she moved her hands at the same time with slowness and steadiness. the water in the air moved as one with her hands. she was in complete control.

jinae watched in amazement as the fish moved within the water as normal, swimming happily. jiyoung moved slowly, carefully putting the water back into the tank.

"i definitively feel like we should run a few more tests. you're showing very advanced skill in water bending just after having found out about your ability."

jiyoung waited patiently for the tests to come back, jinae making conversation about their lives and what they've been up to with school and work.

a knock on the door stopped their conversation, a staff worker of the building walking inside to give jinae the results.

jinae scanned it quietly before looking back up at jiyoung. "alright so it says that your body is much like a regular one that can bend only one element. you will need to work on both air and water like regular. but for right now, it's probably best to work on one at a time."

"and what exactly should we be working on?"

"i think for right now it's best that we work on your air bending. it's your original element so it should be the strongest. you'll probably pick up on everything rather quickly so we should get started soon. but i do think it's best that you inform your friends- especially jaemin since the two of you are so close- about what is going on so they do not begin to worry."

jiyoung nodded. she was ready to begin and learn more about who she was as a person. if it meant taking time out of her day to begin training like her friends then that's what she must do.

alright so when i moved to the republic i pretended i was a water bender with blue eyes from jeju bc i was scared of being a non bender here and thought i'd get super judged but anyways like a few weeks ago or something i started air bending unintentionally and uh turns out i'm actually an air bender but yeah i'm actually from like east of here (i think) i'm from the earth nation i used to live in yi and i actually have black eyes. i'm super sorry i practically lied to you guys abt my identity and stuff but i rlly never knew we were ever gonna be this close and i understand completely if u guys never wanna talk to me again bc u think i'm an awful person for never telling u the truth i do not deserve any of ur friendships

guess i'm a bit disappointed but like i understand. the ppl here are mean for no reason most of the time so i understand the pressure of being a non bender. plus i kinda already knew after that incident at the store a while ago but i didn't wanna pressure u abt it or anything
