The silk curtains fluttered as the gentle breeze of the night seeped into the room. Sleeping peacefully, you had one of your legs swung across another pair of legs when the chilly air whispered and tickled your bare skin, making you shift as you unconsciously tried to seek for warmth.

Grumbling, you sat up tiredly when you could not find the perfect position to continue your slumber. Judging by how dark the room is, you knew that you were only into the wee hours of the night. With half-lidded eyes, you looked over to the other side of the bed where your fiancé laid, his chest rising and fall like the gentle waves lapping up a calm shore.

The Moon Elf King rested peacefully on his back, his body emitting a bright glow, and the holy aura surrounded his entire being, seemingly ethereal. The king's long eyelashes cast a tall shadow over his flawless skin, further defining his chiselled features. With his eyes closed, his face looked so serene, like a beautiful canvas void of any blemishes.

Quietly, you crawled over to the sleeping elf and gave him a peck on the cheek. As the memories of the encounter steadily filled to the brim of your head, you chuckled upon remembering the silly awkward and embarrassing moments.

The Emerald Woodland is a vast expanse full of excessively tall and thick trees. As enchanting as the land might sound, similar to a fairy tale, it is however discreetly notorious for the people overwhelmed with greed, with chances of them making it out alive being slim to none.

Famous for its endless rows of longevity peaches, they only exist in the garden of the castle where the royal family resides. Legend has it that just by consuming one of the ripe and succulent fruit, your lifespan will increase by a few years. However, getting past the knight elves on patrol is challenging as the majority succumbed to being captured and tortured.

You had safely trespassed into the land to pick the peaches, not knowing that the trees were solely planted and tended to by the king himself. You were lazing on a tree, munching on your fifth peach when someone decided to clear his throat noisily, breaking your peace and tranquillity on purpose. Rolling your eyes in annoyance, you had tsked unhappily, openly showing your displeasure.

Looking down, you made eye contact with an elf cloaked in royal attire, and your mouth fell open, the half-eaten peach slipping out of your grasp and onto the ground. It rolled and came to a complete stop by a pair of feet donned with armoured boots.

Wordlessly, that was the day where you resolved to seize hold of the elk's heart.

Eyelids that slowly fluttered open, Estes woke from his slumber when he felt the shuffling of sheets as well as the multiple dippings of the bed. Looking slightly towards his right, you laid curled up beside him, hugging his arm close to your chest as you snoozed away. Despite the majestic air surrounding the king, his pair of benevolence eyes is like a clear window, brimming with affection as he eyed your sleeping figure, proud to call you his fiancée. In another month's time, you and he would soon tie the knot at the place where the two of you first met- the Peach Garden.

Much to Estes' bewilderment, he also did not expect to meet you under unusual circumstances. Intruding his garden and personal space became a norm for you where you would also often find him resting below the trees with his book in hand. From random chats to pranks to surprise dates, the list goes on. Nevertheless, it is truly a blessing in disguise.

As Estes swept his gaze over you, the corners of his lips curved slightly. Trying to keep you warm, he pulled up the sheets as high it would go and tucked you in, and watched you snuggled further into the comfort it provides. Shifting ever so slightly, he pulled you closer to him, and his eyes crinkled with amusement when your arms unconsciously went around his waist.

Basking in the warmth of his significant other, another pair of eyes slowly shut as sleep took over.

Truthfully, the Moon Elf King could not wait to call you "mine".
