She looked oddly suspicious of you. "you looked a bit distant there." your visible eye went wide in alarm, suddenly feeling quite uncomfortable with her. it was probably you, but you could've sworn she sounded more conspiratorial than usual. gah... her stoicism hasn't bothered me before! why is it now? you itched behind your horn an put on a reassuring smile. "(Name) just... being... curious, is all." garnet hummed shortly in response, crossing her arms over her chest. you chuckled nervously in response, hoping she wouldn't notice your unease with her. you couldn't see it well, but part you knew that she had an idea about the sudden sense of familiarity you felt of the place. Thankfully, however, a cheery voice comes to your rescue. "is that so, (name)?"
Pearl had come up behind you and placed a hand on your shoulder. "if you're curious about this type of information, I'd be more than happy to share what I know about the other worlds I've been to with you." You turned in time to see steven and spinel run upto you, smiling brightly. "yeah! And who knows?" steven threw his arms up excitedly. "maybe it'll get you some of your memories back!"
you stared worriedly at the child for a moment before snorting in amusement and patting his head. "yes.. sounds good, steven."
you looked down at the warp pad, sneering slightly in a feeling of wistfulness.
garnet patted you on the head, making you look back up at her. to your relief, her suspicious look had dissipated. "Alright, then. come on, let's finish the rest of this mission." ~~~~~~~~~~
after the mission, steven and spinel decided to go out and visit Greg at his car wash, while you stood at the temple to relax and think to yourself. you were settled in the living room, playing with a your fingers as you toyed with the words that had been spoken.
