TRYING | MP

it had been four days since luka told rosanna about him cheating and all she did was cry. even though they were only together for a few months he still meant a lot to her.

rosanna was laying on her bed wrapped in the covers as tears made their way down her cheeks. her friends had been over yesterday to comfort her but they couldn't come today since they had school and jessie had to work.

rosanna's parents were also in work so she had the house to herself.

suddenly there was a soft knock at her bedroom door. rose furrowed her eyeshadow together and began to get scared. who could be knocking on the door?

"w-who is it?" her throat was sore from crying. "it's me." rosanna recognized the voice very clearly. "come in."

there he was. mattia polibio standing in her bedroom. he was wearing a pair of black joggers and a grey jumper. his black poofy hair looked very fluffy making rosanna judge ant to run her hands through the thick hair.

"what're you doing here?" she coughs and then sits up. "how do you even know where i live?"

"riley." he answered as he walked over to her bed and set a white bag down. "i heard about what luka did and i'm so close to beating his ass."

rosanna let out a soft chuckle making a small smile appear on mattia's face. "i decided to stop by one of those shops that sells snack and got you some things."

rosie nodded and watched him pull out all sorts. ice cream , chips , sweets , tissues and things you'd need that'll help you when you're going through a breakup.

"thank you, tia." she smiles and grabs the ice cream pot and takes the lid off.

"no problem," he shrugs. "i'll go get you a spoon for that."

"get two." rose shyly spoke up and mattia grinned at her before leaving the bedroom and going downstairs.

mattia has soon returned with two spoons like rosanna said to and the two of them were chilling on her bed eating the chocolate ice cream. "thanks for doing this." rose sighs as she takes the spoon out of her mouth and swallows the chocolate ice cream.

"anything for you." mattia whispers. rosie begins to blush uncontrollably.

"hey, let's watch a movie." mattia suggests and rose nods. "what one?" she asks and he just shrugs and turns on netflix. "how about... cobra kai?"

rosanna's face lights up. cobra kai was her favorite. she quickly nods like she's a baby being offered candy causing the italian boy to chuckle and turn in on.

after a while of watching it, rosanna's phone began to blow up with lots of notifications.

she looked down to see that they were all from luka. memories of the two flooded her mind as she felt the need to cry but she didn't. she held them back.

rosanna grabbed her phone and looked at the messages.

you know i read somewhere that if the person in a relationship cheats it means they didn't really love them in the first place

"i'm really sorry he cheated, rose." mattia said making her look up from her phone and switch it off. rosie shrugs. "it's whatever.. he didn't love me." mattia just nods and then sighs. "there's plenty of fish in the sea. don't give up now."

"who said i was giving up?" rosanna chuckles. he shrugs and takes another spoon full of the ice cream. "i'm just telling you. one person may make have broken your heart but that doesn't mean others will."

rose blushes at what mattia says. it was true. not everyone is going to break her heart. just because one person did so doesn't mean the next guy will or the guy after that.

"thanks , tia." she smiles and mattia shakes his head. "you need tia too saying that all the time." he giggled. "what? thank you? sorry for using my manners." she laughs.

mattia couldn't help but stare at her. she was so beautiful. he really wanted her to be his but since she's just gotten out of a relationship a horrible way she's going to need quite a bit of time to recover so i guess mattia is just playing the waiting game.
