The first few weeks went by in a flash. It was pretty fun to learn about all the different subjects and get to know everyone. Blaise was still acting up when I was around though. I decided I would just try to hang out with some other people as well as the 2nd year boys. I managed to equally portion by free time between my homework, seeing Emily, Eli and the guys and going to see my Dad.

Everything was going well until Saturday night in the common room. I had just finished having dinner with my Dad and was heading to the common room. I bumped into someone as I was stuck in my thoughts.

"Sorry." I said. As I looked up i realised it was Eli. "Do you always bump into people or is it just me? yanno because I am so amazing you just can't help it." He said smirking. I shook my head giggling.

"Obviously just your amazing self." I said beginning to walk to the common room with him. He chuckled at my response before whispering the password. We stepped inside and walked to sit on one of the sofas.

"Oh so you're still spending all your time with him." Came a cold voice from behind the sofa I was sat on. I turned around to see a distraught Blaise. "What on earth are you on about Blaise?" I asked with an attitude. I was so fed up with how he cold he was being towards me.

"I know you lied to me last Monday." He said angrily. "Again, what are you on about?" I asked. "You said you went to dinner with your Dad. But, I saw you after 6th period walking with him. Then you stayed in the common room talking for ages. When I came back from dinner you were both gone. You lied." He said frustratedly.

"I did go to dinner with my Dad. I met Eli after 6th period and we talked for a while and then afterwards I really did go to dinner." I was now shouting at Blaise in frustration. He clenched his fists and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, whatever Liliana. Just keep on lying. From now on, don't come near me if all you're going to do is lie." He shouted back before stomping up to the boys dormitories.

"What the hell is he so mad even if I was spending time with you?" I asked Eli still a bit frustrated. Urm... I could be wrong but he seems a little jealous, I think." He said timidly. "Jealous? Why would he be jealous?" I replied. "I think he... likes you." He said with a smirk. I burst into laughter.

"Whats so funny?" He asked with a confused expression. "You're not the first person to bring that up. One of his friends told him not to try and date me because he's older." I said still laughing. It wasn't really that funny but I was very confused and didn't know how to react.

"Right." He said slowly, still looking confused. I had stopped laughing now. "No, its impossible. He can't like me... I'm me." I said uncertainly. "I... I'm just gonna go to bed. Goodnight Eli." I said, half in my thoughts than actually in the moment.

"Urm, Goodnight Lil." I heard him say from behind me as I walked up the stairs to the girls dormitories. That was Eli's nickname for me, he wanted something different to everyone else.

I walked up to my room and opened the door. I opened it to see Emily and her two friends. I snapped out of my thoughts as I walked in. I was still yet to introduce myself to them. I suppose nows a good time.

"Hi guys!" I said to the three girls in front of me. "Hey!" They all replied. "I'm Liana. Its nice to finally meet you." I said stepping into the room and shutting the door. I went and sat on my bed. "Hey, I'm Beatrice." The wavy blonde haired girl replied. She had piercing blue eyes and a chubby figure. "Hi, I'm Violet." The other girl said. She had brown, straight hair and a fringe. She had green eyes and light freckles and a more thinner figure. They were both average height.

"How are you liking school so far?" I asked with a welcoming smile. "Its so fun and amazing." Beatrice replied beaming. "Yeah, its so nice getting to make new friends and learn new things." Violet added. "So, now we're all finally introduced, what do you say we have a sleepover tonight?" Emily asked smiling.

"Sure!" We choruses eagerly. This caused all four of us to erupt into a fit of laughter.

We had a rather girly sleepover. We did face masks and painted our nails. I painted mine an emerald green colour. We dressed up in our most fancy clothes and ate loads of sweet snacks Violet had stolen from the kitchen earlier in the day.

We got to know eachother really well and had a lot of fun. I loved hanging out with the boys or with Eli but its nice to have some girly and pampering time every once in a while. When we were all sitting down and chilling again I told the girls about the whole Blaise situation. About how he'd reacted earlier and how he had been the past few weeks. I also told them about what Draco had warned Blaise.

"I agree with the Eli boy, he definitely seems jealous." Violet said in her Irish accent. "Yeah so do I." Emily added. "I don't." Beatrice said. I looked at her confused. "Well, I think that he's maybe trying to distance from you." She said unwrapping her frog. I thought about this and perhaps it was true.

"But why would he do that for?" I asked. She smirked at me before answering. "You say this Draco boy warned him not to try and date you before, well, from what I've heard he can be quite persuasive. So, what if he warned him again so he is using this to distance from you." She replied.

This actually made sense.

"Well, that makes a lot more sense than him being jealous of my friendship with Eli. I mean I'm friends with Crabbe, Goyle and sort of Draco and he doesn't have a problem with them." I said thoughtfully. "Well yeah. I get that but I still thinks he's jealous." Emily said.

"Why would he be jealous though, if he isn't jealous of the others?" I asked. "Perhaps because he thinks you and Eli are more than friends." Violet replied for her. "We are, we're best friends but nothing romantic." I said getting frustrated again.

"Maybe he doesn't know that though." Beatrice said. I nodded in agreement. "So, what are you gonna do now?" Emily asked, eating a liquorice wand.

"Well, I'm not going to spend less time with Eli because he wants me to, thats for sure. And, if he wants me to stay away from him then thats what I'll do. I don't want to be friends with someone who accuses me of lying and then doesn't listen to me when I defend myself." I said, harsher than I meant it to be.

"Sorry, I'm just frustrated." I added. "Its fine." She answered. "What do you say we go to sleep now? It's 1am and we're all getting pretty tired." Beatrice said sleepily. I nodded and heard a muffled "sure" from Emily and an "okay" from Violet.

Emily and Violet slept in her bed and Beatrice and I in mine. We each had double beds so it wasn't too snug.

I fell asleep that night, still a bit frustrated, but, overall happy with my new friendships and happy I now, sort of, know why Blaise was being so cold with me.

I decided, from now on, I will stick with Eli. I'll obviously still make time for my new found girls friendship group and seeing my Father. But, I'll mainly stick with my best friend. I didn't care what Blaise had to think about us. I also didn't care that I wouldn't be spending time with the other 2nd year boys, they never seemed to really enjoy my company anyway but, rather, put up with it for Blaise. He was the only one who seemed to be my actual friend.
