As soon as I made it home, I saw Dira laying on the couch. "Way to hold water." I said rolling my eyes. "I'm sorry I couldn't help it. It's been a long time since I seen this glow so I had to share it with someone. I didn't know my momma was haul ass and tell yours." she said as I laughed. "D, their best friends. Of course she was. I'm not mad though. I probably would've done the same." I said shrugging my shoulders. "Did she tell ya pops?" "Not yet because she was at work but I know she did. She asked about his occupation." I said as her mouth hung open. "What did you say?" "The truth, he's an exotic dancer. I know it was a shock to her but she took it well."
"My mom had the same reaction. She said as long as I was happy, then she was happy for me. I mean what could she say?" she said as she shrugged. "Exactly." I said in agreement. "Me and him have a date on Friday." I added as she raised her eyebrow. "You wasn't gonna say that earlier?" "Nope. Figured I make you wait." I said as I stuck my tongue out. "Irking. Do you need help picking an outfit?" "Nah. I think I got it." "Me and Joaquin are going out Saturday." "Damn you was just gonna leave that out?" "Pot meet kettle." she said as I rolled my eyes. "We were gonna go Wednesday but I have school and he works." she said shrugging. "Need my services?" "Nah I got it." she said as I smiled. "Well lemme wash up. When I come back, Street Fighter?" "Bet. Hurry up!" she rushed me.
A Few Days Later.
Carlo was a no show at my job this morning, which was a little weird but I didn't bother to make a big deal. The rest of the day was was smooth sailing. It's like every day, our customer base grows, it's amazing. "Want to go out tonight?" Dira asked as I got home. "Lemme change." I said as I walked to the bathroom. "It's been a minute since we've been out." she said as we were seated. "We've been busy. School, work and baes." I said as we laughed. "Point there. Is this adulting? I don't like it." she said as we laughed some more. "Gotta play with the cards we've been dealt baby. We've been making up for it with our game and karaoke nights." I said as she nodded in agreement.
Once we finished, we decided to go to our second favorite spot. To our surprise, the boys weren't dancing tonight. Shrugging, we decided to get our groove on instead. "So just gimme that good good loving, gimme that." Brave Williams sung as we danced with each other. We went to the bar to get refills on our drinks. "One more time, one more time, one more time." we repeated along with Brave to him. Once we got said drinks, we went right back to dancing. I felt a hand crept around my waist but kept dancing. "Yeah my baby knows that I deliver, and that's exactly what I'm gone do." Fifth Harmony song as my hips were talking.
I felt another hand slightly turn my face as someone pressed their lips against mine. "Hi handsome." I smiled as I opened my eyes to see Carlo smiling back at me. "Hey baby." he said wrapping his arms around me. "There you are." I smiled. "You missed me?" "Something like that." I said laughing. "Well I missed you." he said squeezing me as I laughed. "I'm sorry. I did miss you big head." I said giving him another kiss. He just wrapped his arms around as we swayed to the music. "You ready for our date?" "I'm a bit excited if we're being honest." I laughed." "Good because I have can't wait to show you what I've been up to." he whispered as I smiled while continuing to drink my drink. "Can I have some?" he asked as I laughed.
I handed him the cup. "I want you to do it." he said as I felt his hands release from my sides. I turned around and put the straw to his lips as he kept his eyes on me while he sipped. "That's good." he said pulling me close to him. "I know what I'm doing." "Never doubted you." he said kissing my neck. I finished the rest as he told everyone he was stealing me. "I thought you guys had to work today?" I asked as we walked. "Ale decided to give us the day off since it was a little slow." he responded as I nodded. "That means you could've came back to see me." "Good point and I was but I had to get things situated for Friday." he said as I smiled. Can't argue against that.
