They had crept down the long hallways before reaching another room. Classic glanced at the number on the sign outside the containment area. He had remembered glancing at the page about SCP-035, a rather unique SCP in his eyes. Not that the others were not unique as well, just that the idea of a mask being a living object mystified Classic.

"So, are you ready to meet SCP-035?" Classic nodded toward Doctor Kendall as he swiped the keycard, the door opening before Classic strolled in. There was a significant amount of light in the small room. The walls were as barren as his own and a single bed and table was placed in the open space. A figure was seated silently on the bed, black goo dripping to the floor. The sudden feeling of a new presence alerted the SCP as eyes froze over Classic. There was a lingering eerie silence before a soft chuckle shattered the unease.

"Why hello there! A new face, which means a new friend. It's been so long since I last spoke to another SCP, especially after they separated me from SCP-049... How I miss the times we would speak."

"The Plague Doctor? He seemed like a rather friendly person honestly!" SCP-035 glanced at Classic before he seemed to jump from the bed. Hands pressed into Classic's as short bursts of laughter filled the room.

"That doctor is far from friendly. Everything depends on the view he holds. Guessing he talked nonsense of a disease, no?" Classic nodded as SCP-035 took his seat on the bed once more, his mask permanently in a smile.

"Is he a friend of yours? I hear some SCP get along, though I don't know much about SCP as it is." SCP-035 gave a curious look before a sigh filled the growing silence. He patted a hand quietly to the bed before watching Classic accept the invitation to sit.

"I would consider him a friend, though I am sure he feels differently. I have a question for you... Well, two actually. First, I need a name to call you by. Saying 'hey you' isn't entirely my thing. Secondly, how long have you been in the foundation. By the way you speak and the lack of fear when in the presence of one of the SCP, I would assume you've been a part for sometime. But you have a new type of air, similar to those who first are brought in." There was a lingering silence before Classic chuckled, his gaze rising to the ceiling.

"I actually ended up being caught a couple days ago, maybe even a single day ago. I don't really remember. Keeping track of time feels impossible in those cells. Nightmare and I ended up here after something happened in the past, though I wish to avoid speaking right now of it. As for a name, just call me Classic. I am sure you'll meet Nightmare at some point, so long as he behaves." Classic chuckled at the comment, SCP-035 giving a wide smile. He ran a hand over Classic's skull, shaking his head.

"Well Classic, It is nice to know you. I figured it would be impossible to find an SCP without issues, you know? The Plague Doctor is focused on a disease I don't feel exists anymore. I am addicted to theater, though that isn't a huge issue. The real issue with me is that I need a body, which means I take over a host. Sure, you may be skeleton, but you are the nicest SCP I've met in the foundation. We all have problems, yet I feel you don't fit in the equation." The words lingered as Classic nodded, his body leaning into SCP-035. He kept his voice low, ensuring no one beyond this room heard.

"How about I share a little secret, but you must keep it quiet." SCP-035 gave a subtle nod before Classic sucked in a breath. "Nightmare and I aren't from this universe. We were actually dropped here by one of my old allies. He found out about my relationship with Nightmare, a big red flag there. In response, they tried to trap Nightmare here, but I got in the way and was dragged with him."

"That's awful. I'm sorry people did that to you. Even so, how about I fill that missing spot. I'll be your friend!" Classic smiled warmly as he nodded, the door to the cell opening. Doctor Kendall hovered in the doorway, motioning Classic to follow. Slowly he rose before before stopping as SCP-035 grabbed hold of his sleeve lightly. "See you soon Classic. Thank you for trusting me."

There was a long silence as Classic left with the Doctor, SCP-035 returning to look at the wall. He normally was used to singing alone, but he felt his mind wander over everything he had heard. Was there really a whole new universe? It made him wonder if maybe freedom was achievable. None of the SCP wanted to be locked up forever. Some wanted destruction. Some wanted merely freedom. He felt a sigh slip from him as he laid down. His one hope was to see Classic again. Maybe, just maybe he was the hope they all were looking for. Maybe escape would finally become possible.
