Draco's POV:
"I have killed the girl's parents!" Voldemort said proudly. Everyone laughed. Bellatrix, the loudest. I couldn't believe we were discussing this in my own home. I couldn't help but imagine what (y/n) was going through.
"Awe, baby Draco has a bit of a pouty face," she mimicked my expression.
"Quiet, Bellatrix!" Voldemort scolded. She whimpered like a dog. "With the parents out of the way, it shall be more difficult for Draco to get in touch with her. The girl will be too miserable to speak to him. Am I wrong, boy?"
"Say no Draco," Father whispered without moving his lips much.
I gulped. "Y- no sir,"
"In fact, have you talked to the girl at all?"
"No, sir,"
"Sounds like the job is done then," they all laughed again. "How far along are we with the cabinet?"
"He is very far along, my lord," Father said nervously.
"And we are all aware that he will be the one to kill his headmaster?" He smirked. "You must prove your loyalty, boy,"
"Why don't you just go kill him yourself?" I asked in a serious tone.
"Draco-" Father whispered.
"Because I will risk being defeated. I will not be defeated by those filthy people! Not before I kill Potter! Not ever!" He shouted in his raspy voice.
He's scared of being defeated? I thought to myself.
"Out of my sight you boy! I do not want to see you until the job is finished," Father stood up and grabbed my shoulders as we walked out of the room.
Father turned to me. "Draco, you now understand how important it is,"
"Yes, Father,"
"I'm afraid if you don't go through, what happened to (y/n)'s parents will happen to us too," I agreed knowing I would sacrifice them for (y/n)'s parents back any day. It was his doing. His fault.
I got back to Hogwarts just in time for dinner. (Y/n) was nowhere in sight.
"Uh, Hermione-" I started to say. I have never really talked to her before.
She looked away. "I am not speaking to you,"
"Hear me out!"
"Listening," she still didn't turn to look at me.
"I really messed up-"
"Yeah you did," she cut me off.
"Sigh I really messed up with (y/n) and I don't know what to do. Where is she anyway?"
She finally looked at me. "You really broke her heart, Malfoy. She must be in her dorm or something. She hasn't come out for days,"
"Days? But how would she eat?"
"McGonagall has been sliding granola bars under her door,"
"Wow, that's some way of living,"
"You did this to her! How could you!" Her voice starting to shake.
"Don't you think I know that?" I started to get frustrated, resulting in raising my voice.
"Try to talk to her if you want but it is not going to work!" She shot back. I took a step back, still staring at her before running off to find (y/n).
