Why Me?

I coughed and started to choke. "DOCTORS!" Andy shouted. Then doctors came rushing in. "Okay I'm going to slowly take the breathing tube out now." Said a male voice. He started to take out the tube it felt so weird.

Andy

It's been 4 days. 4 days since Scout broke up with me. Since Alex was stabbed. Since the baby was killed. Since Alex was conscious. Since I told Alex I loved her.... They're taking her off life support tomorrow if she does t wake up. I don't know what to do. Scout has been sent to a mental hospital that is also a jail. She has to spend 5 years since it was considered a murder of a minor. And stabbing someone.

I'm at the hospital right now with the band and her mom. Her mom has been missing for 14 years. Since Alex was 3. Wow. "Andy, I don't know what to do." Ashley sobbed. "I-it's all my fault. I ran to Jinxxs house to punch him in the face, asked her if she wanted to keep it." Ashley cried more. "Shh. Ashley it's not your fault. It's mine. I kissed her." I cried.

"Andy! ANDY!" Jake shouted. I looked at him. He looked at Alex in pure shock. "What?" I asked looking at him then Alex. Her hand twitched. She
started coughing and choking because of the tube. "DOCTORS!" I screamed. The doctors came in and the first one spoke. "Okay Alex, I'm going to take out the tube now." He took it out and it looked weird. She coughed even more. The doctors spread out from around her. I instantly ran over to her. I hugged her like I didn't want her to fly away.

"Andy." She said with a raspy voice. "How long was I out?" She asked. "4 days." I replied. "They were going to take you off of life support tomorrow." I continued. I pulled back a little to look at her. Her beautiful blue eyes were full of life. It made me so happy. "You're beautiful" I told her. She smiled and hugged me again. "Ahem." Ashley interrupted. I moved and he attacked her with a hug. She hugged him back and he started crying. She opened her eyes wide. "A-Ashley. Is m-my baby o-okay?" She asked. He looked down and slowly shook his head no. She stayed silent until a tear fell out of her eyes. She bawled all day about it.

I can't believe the baby is gone. Sh-she never got to hold it. She didn't even go through any stages. Except the obvious morning sickness. But there's something that shocks me. Mom was at the hospital.

•Flashback•

"Y-you all should go to hell y-you bastards!" My mom screamed at me and my baby sister, Alex, who is 3. Alex started crying. "M-mom. Pl-please stop-p" I cried. Yes I'm 16 and I'm crying. "N-no!" She yelled. She drunk once again. Ever since our dad died, she's been the worst mother ever. "You e-EMO faggot should die!" She yelled at me. "What-what are those? Huh faggot?" She asked looking at my arm. I cut yes, because of my mother.

"M-mom you-you're making A-Alex cry." I say quietly. "SHUT HER UP!" She yelled slapping me. I tumbled over. My "mother" kept slapping me, kicking me, punching me. I finally stood up and took Alex then ran. "EMO FAGGOT GET BACK HERE!" She screamed. She chased after us. It was very dark since it was 11 pm. She caught up to us and she slapped me. Alex was already in the ground so I didn't drop her. The last thing I remember before she ran off and no one saw her again was my slapping her after she slapped Alex.

She ran. I walked back to the house with Alex in my arms. She stopped crying and so did I.

•End of flashback•

Ever since then, Alex and I have been living alone. I'm almost 30 now and we have been living alone together for 14 years. Alex doesn't know what happened to mom and I never told her.
