Now that June is here they have started to loosen the restrictions. Restaurants were starting to open up their indoor dining, teams are allowed to practice as long as they stay six feet apart from each other. As long as you wear a mask you're allowed in most institutions and the museums and other small businesses are now open. Phase four seemed to be the closest we've been to normal in three months and it's still pretty misrible. But little progress is still progress. It's good to be cautious of the pandemic but it's not good to hide from it either. There's nowhere we can hide where it can't find us.

But there's nowhere we can go where we can't get away from it too so Bri and I find some time to go up to Canada where I can visit home and we can go to the cabin and the lake. Things I would usually be doing in the summer anyway and something far away from anyone or anything.

"So when can we leave? Can we leave now" Bri asks after I get off the phone with my parents and I chuckle.

"Someones in a hurry to go north" I tease.

"I love this city and I love being here. But I just spent the better part of three months hiding inside of this apartment staring at the window wondering what more I can do. Now I can leave so can we go pleasee" she begs.

"We can leave this weekend but we need someone to house sit and we need to figure out how to get Garfield in a car for twelve hours and him not get freaked out" I remind her. 

"I got him a thunder jacket to make him feel safe" she announces and I laugh. Of course she did. She also got one of those space cat backpacks for when we go hiking.

"Patience little one. We can leave this weekend" I promise as she lets out a groan.

"So I'm still stuck in here" she whines.

"No. We can go out in the city for a little. Find someplace nice to eat for once instead of ordering it to the apartment" I suggest.

"Really" she perks up.

"Yeah. We can even dress nice and go on our first real date" I suggest.

"Oh! That would be really nice" she cheers. "I'm so excited can we go now" she asks. She's like a little kid right now.

"It's 2 in the afternoon" I laugh.

"I know. But you said date and now I'm all giddy" she smiles. She's so cute when she gets excited like this.

"Alright fine. We can go now" I assure her.

"Yay" she squeals as she jumps off the couch. She goes right into her room to get dressed and I go to mine to get ready too.

I pull on a pair of black pants and a nice light blue top. I know light blue was her favorite so I wanted to incorporate that into my outfit. Once I shave a little and make sure my hair was nice and smooth I was ready. I go knock on Bris door and she opens it up. I stand in the door way with my mouth wide open.

"Wow" I gasp as I look over a few times. That outfit with her curly black hair and bright green eyes made for a really powerful combo. "Ellie you look beautiful" I say barley above a whisper.

"It's not too much? Because I can change if you think it's too much" she claims.

"No no" I shake my head. "Don't ever change because of others opinion of you. You picked out the outfit because you like it. I would never ask you to change, not your clothes or your hair or your personality. I love you in Calvin Kline or nothing at all" I assure her.

"Nothing" she asks and I shake my head.

"For someone who wants to go you you sure are making me want to stay in" I accuse.

"Alright alright I'm done. Let me grab my handbag and a mask and we can go" she promises.

We walk downtown and find a nice restaurant next to the water. We find a nice spot that had a amazing view of the city and get seated. We both order some wine and appatrizers and enjoy being out for once.

"I can't believe I've been here for six months and half of them I was stuck inside" she starts.

"Yeah. Feels like we've missed out on so much" I insist.

"I felt like I was in there forever. And don't get me wrong, I love living with you. I love what's become of our relationship and I wouldn't want to spend three months stuck inside with anyone else in the world. But that was still hard, especially with me being who I am. I want to see the world, I want to be one with this earth and it's people and I was stuck. I didn't know I could hurt like that. I didn't know the world could be so black. But I was caught in the middle of all that nothing and you were there to pull me out. I would follow you anywhere" she says with a small smile.

"Even Canada" I tease.

"Especially Canada. I haven't been there in a while and I can't wait to be back. I got my swim suits picked out and a bunch of spots I want to go see" she beams.

"Well it's not going anywhere. I promise it'll still be there when we get there" I insists.

"You still have a lake named after you" she asks and I laugh.

"I do" I nod.

"That's the first place I want to go. That's so cool" she claims.

"Coming from a girl who has a whole clothing line named after her" I accuse.

"Clothes are cool but I want a lake" she smirks.

"Well if we get married and your last name will be Toews and guess what? You got yourself a lake" I say.

"And all it takes is marrying you" she teases.

"That's all it takes" I laugh.

"Well I don't think that sounds too bad. I get a smoking hot husband and a lake. We can spend the summers in Canada and every other time in the city. Two point five kids and thirteen cats" she smirks.

"Thirteen" I gasp.

"Or three. Three is fine" she jokes.

"Would you even take my name. Brielle Evans is your brand" I mention.

"It was. But we change, I change and things will have to change with it. I don't have to take your name, I know that. But sometimes a girl just want a domestic life. Simple and fun and a tiny bit predictable" she insists.

"Well we have a way to go. But nothing would make me happier than being married to you one day" I insist.

"Makes two of us" she smiles.
