[Spitfire : Chapter Sixty-Three]

6 October, 1995

Cassie ended up receiving a month's detention, and it wasn't from Umbridge. Rather, it was from Filch—who caught Cassie mid-act contorting her face into his in order to scare kids who were wandering the school after hours (meaning, she wasn't only impersonating—but was caught out of her dorm after hours.)

Filch assigned most of her detentions to be with Umbridge, who Cassie had already heard haunting stories of.

And which she found evidence of first-handedly, confirming the stories to be true.

Fred and George had scars on the back of their hands that wouldn't be going away for years. They were deep, and would sometimes spontaneously bleed without any irritation. On the back of Fred's hand told; 'I am sorry for my wrongdoings, I will NOT prank again.' The bloody thing ranged from his knuckles down the hairs on his wrist. George, blessed with a less paragraph-length of a punishment, had; 'I am a seventh year adult, I will do no wrong.'

Neither twin chose to tell teachers. They had a pact ever since they learned of the word to never snitch. So, rather than reporting the professor for misconduct, they wreaked even more havoc rewarding themselves in more punishments.

On the sixth of October, the trio were forced into a late-night detention writing parchments with a blood quill. Cassie had been blessed with the branded message of; 'I will NOT misconstrue my identity within Hogwarts walls.'

Cassie had already broken that rule many times. The girl only ensures she had her natural hair color when near the blasted women, other times—she is her proper self.

Being called out in class was an embarrassing moment that Cassie never wanted to be repeated again. However, she wasn't going to abide willingly like how most other students do—not to bash. Cassie was naturally stubborn and vengeful, a trait received by either parent. And maximized by Kendra.

By the time she was on her fourth line of the sixth parchment in her stack of twelve, Cassie's hand was numb and cold from the excessive, yet unharming, blood loss. The only pain she felt that was from her writing hand, it cramped from holding the quill for so long. Cassie normally used pens from home, and the professors would allow her--except Umbridge, who only allowed wizarding products into her classroom.

Fred was ahead of her, and George was behind her. Behind George was another student, a girl from Ravenclaw who had the audacity to correct Umbridge on the timeline of the twelve-hundred year lycanthrope and drăculea war.

Cassie's hair was black, hugging her cheeks and occasionally falling in front of her eyes--every blood vessel in her body cried for her to morph her hair to its originality. With Cassie's mind traveling across worlds, she didn't notice the blue streaks appearing in her hair.
