I felt my inhibitions lowering as I drank. Every choice I made was fueled by the mixture of the rage of being fired and the alcohol.
Jaden, Bryce, and I sat around the table, and I was trying to baby my can, but Bryce noticed. "Ma'am, I'm gonna need you to actually drink the Claw before I can give you another one."
"Where are the rest of the boys? I've only actually met five of you," I replied, avoiding his words.
"Chug the rest of that, and we'll get the rest of them," Bryce bribed me.
I sighed before slamming it back. "There. Let me meet you all. If there's a chance that I could be working with you guys, I should meet you."

Jaden had been typing away on his phone, and I looked between him and Bryce as Bryce's phone dinged. "Oh, you texted the group chat. That's a good idea," Bryce noted, putting his phone back down on the table.
I heard a commotion coming down the stairs, and I looked up as Josh and Nessa entered the room. "Izzie! It's good to see you again!" Nessa greeted me, making her way around the table. "How long has it been?"
I chuckled as she hugged me. "I couldn't tell you, Ness. I've been following your career so closely that I can't tell when I stopped seeing you weekly."
"Wait just a minute," Josh interjected. "You two know each other? How did I not know that?"
"Well, Josh, when we were working together, you and Nessa weren't exactly a problem that I needed to address," I explained.
Noah entered the kitchen, and he waved at me. "Hey, Izzie. What are you doing here?"
"I got fired today," I laughed, taking the can that Jaden had extended to me.

"You got fired?" I heard Quinton's voice ask.
"Yes, I got fired," I responded.
"Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped you," he said, sitting down at the kitchen table next to me.
I shrugged his hand off of my shoulder. "No one can help me, Q. I got fired. You can't get me my job back. Jaden keeps trying to get me another job working for you all, and I don't even know if that's a good idea," I practically screamed at him before chugging my can. Bryce was ready with another quickly, and I downed half of the can before anyone spoke.
"Um, why don't we go look for the rest of the boys? You can meet Kio, Anthony, Blake, and Griffin," Jaden suggested, reaching his hand out to take mine.

I let him help me up, but I jerked my hand out of his as I finished my drink. We walked down the hallway, and Jaden stopped in front of an open door. "Griff! This is the publicist that Josh, Noah, and I went to see. She's the one that went on the triple date with us last night."
"Oh, hey. It's really nice to finally meet you. I've heard so many good things about you from all of the boys," he replied, standing up to shake my hand. "Is there anyone else that you haven't met yet?"
I looked at Jaden, and he answered for me. "Kio, Anthony, and Blake. Do you know where they are?"
"Oh, not home. Kio is with Vinnie tonight. Anthony and Blake are on a double date with Avani and Amelie," he explained. "I'm sure that, now that she and Q are getting kind of serious, we'll be seeing a lot more of her around here."
"Especially if the management team agrees to hire her as our personal publicist," Jaden mentioned. He was like a proud dad: always bragging about me to everyone.
"Don't keep telling everyone that, Jay. You haven't even pitched it to them, and I don't even know if I would accept it if it was offered to me," I stated, trying to get him to stop talking.
"Hey," Griffin interrupted, looking at me. "I've heard so many great things about you, not only as a person but as a publicist. Our management team would be a bunch of fools to not hire you."

"I need another drink," I blurted out, hoping to avoid the conversation that we were currently having.
"Let's go get you one," Jaden said, looking at his phone. "Addison and Mads should be here soon."
"It was really nice to meet you, Griffin. I'll see you around," I told him, following Jaden back through the house.

Bryce had pulled out an assortment of liquor bottles, and the look on my face must have shown him how pained I was as he passed me a bottle of Svedka. "You look like you could use this whole bottle, Iz."
"I could. Thanks," I replied, taking it from him and tossing the lid on the counter. I made my way to the living room where Josh and Nessa had sat down.
"Hey, guys. Fill me in on your lives. Tell me something good. I really, really need to hear something good right now," I murmured, taking a big swig out of the vodka bottle in my hand.
"Well," Nessa started, turning to look at me, "I've got a song coming out with Jaden soon. We're really excited about it."
"That is good!" I agreed. "Did you post a preview on TikTok yet? That's what you guys usually do, right?"
"You know we did," she teased. "We've both worked with the best damn publicist in California. We both thought about exactly what you might tell us to do, and then we did it," she explained.
"Well," I slurred, "I'm really glad that someone still thinks that I'm the best publicist in California. My boss sure as hell didn't think that I was when she fired me."
Josh took the opportunity to interject. "Not to be that guy, but your boss was kind of a bitch when I met her. I think that you should take her opinion with a grain of salt. Your work speaks for itself, Izzie."

Quinton stepped into the living room with Jaden. "Hey, Izzie. Can we talk to you please?"
