???'s POV
I walked down the street, my hood over my head, adjusted to where I could see. Big, black clouds bellowed over the city. Too bad the world is close to an end. Walking straight, I looked only every often to get aware of my surroundings. I usually only saw small flames or destroyed cement.
I felt... off though. Like someone was nearby. Cmon, get yourself together! You haven't seen anyone for the past three weeks! I told myself. But the feeling didn't leave. I stopped and turned to look behind me just in case. Nobody. I sighed in relief.
I turned a corner to see what I didn't think I would see. Another person stood in the middle of the broken road, looking around. He had messy hair and an outfit with a tattered sleeve. His back was turned, so I walked slowly towards him. I was scared to approach him, but at the same time, I was excited to see someone.
I stopped. "H-Hi." I said lightly. The person stopped and turned towards me, giving me chills. The left leg of his pants had a huge rip, revealing multiple bruises and scars. There was a cut on the side of his neck. But the most disturbing part was the clown mask he wore over his face, and the knife he clutched tightly in his right hand.
I felt like I had lost all the strength in my body. Just stay calm. He might just be a survivor who needs help surviving! There was a fling noise in front of my face, lightly touching my nose if it did. Nope. He wants to kill me. I stepped back. "W-What are you doing? I don't want any h-harm!" I stuttered a bit.
He mumbled something, but I couldn't make it out because of the mask. He flung the knife again. Before I knew it, I was sprinting quicker than I thought my legs could go. He was behind me, staying at the same pace as me. I felt like there was an entrance to a sheltering place just nearby. Then, I felt cracked road on my cheeks.
I stepped into a large pothole in the road and had twisted my ankle. I needed to get up and run, but it was too late. I felt the knife on my neck, a sharp pain following. I struggled to keep my eyes open. Don't close your eyes! You'll be trapped somewhere when you wake up IF you wake up!
I could only see my surroundings, which started turning white. The slight giggles of the man became fainter and fainter until everything turned black.
