Nagito shuffled slowly to his seat, feeling a weight hanging on his shoulders. He stared at his table blankly, his thoughts everywhere, but at the same time, nowhere.

"Wow, Nagito looks creepier than ever today!" Hiyoko chuckled as she pointed accusingly at the poor boy.

Nagito snapped out of his daze to look at the short girl, giving her a blank, confused look.

"Huh?" Nagito exclaimed mindlessly.

"Any ghosts keeping you up?" Hiyoko joked with a menacing glint in her eyes.

Nagito laughed gently.

"As a matter of fact, yes, ahaha," Nagito awkwardly laughed with his hand on his neck.

Hiyoko stopped laughing and gave Nagito a disturbed stare. Everyone stopped their chatter and listened in.

"Ew, don't joke like that creep... you're even more unsettling when you try to be funny."

Nagito shook his head and made an 'X' with his arms. "No, no, it's true. I can tell you what happened, if you'd like..."

"Yeah! Yeah! Tell Ibuki and the others all about your terrifying haunting!" Ibuki excitedly replied as she jumped over to where Nagito sat.

Everyone made their way over as Nagito nervously prepared to share his spooky experience.

"Ooooh, was it a hot ghost? Did they have some meat on their bones, if you know what I'm saying?" Teruteru asked as he nudged Nagito with his elbow.

Nagito sweat-dropped and shook his head, "A-ah, no... sorry to disappoint..."

"So? What happened that made you all pale? Spit it out, ghost-man!" Akane shouted as she slammed her hand on the desk and leaned on it.

"Ghost-man? What are you talking about Akane?" Chisa asked as she walked into the classroom, seeing everyone condensing around Nagito.

"Hey, teach! Nagito is about to tell us about the ghost he saw last night!" Akane greeted Chisa.

"Oh, is it the same ghost as the campfire story Nagito?" Chisa inquired as she sat down on a desk a little separated from the kids, getting ready to listen to his story.

"Actually, yes! I'm surprised you remembered that, Miss Yukizome..." Nagito responded.

"Ooooh, Ibuki remembers that! Yes, yes! Start part two of 'Ghost Girl Fiasco'!" Ibuki shouted as she pumped her fists in the air.

Nagito crossed his legs and began to recall last night.

"Well, it all started when I was getting ready to do my homework... This pen kept falling off of my desk, and eventually, the whole pencil cup tipped on its own!" Nagito waved his hands for effect and everyone listened with bated breath.

"I got creeped out, so I decided to go for a walk. As I was walking, it started to get foggy, and in the distance, I saw the girl again..."

"Woah! Creepilicious! What did she look like? Was she short, tall, big-boobed? Small-boobed? Tell me, man! Ibuki's gotta know!" Ibuki questioned dramatically as she gritted her teeth.

"Ah, well... I didn't see her very well.... But she looked kind of... blue? And transparent? Does that help?" Nagito replied, trying his best to remember what the figure he saw looked like.

Ibuki stroked her imaginary beard with her fingers and looked away in thought. "Hmm... Hmmmmmm... Ibuki guesses so!"

"That's nice... So, I tried to ask her if she was following me, but she didn't respond. She just tilted her head and disappeared... then I went back to my dorm and I went to bed..."

The room was silent as everyone processed what Nagito told them...

"Oh, and I woke up later to see her staring at me while I slept," he added, remembering the terrifying moment.

"W-whatching you sleep? Wow, maybe I want this ghost haunting me..." Teruteru giggled pervertedly as his nose began to bleed.

"Ew! Shut up, you perv!" Hiyoko squealed, jumping away from the stream of blood.

"Awwwww. Ibuki wishes that she could have a ghost friend..." Ibuki sighed as she hugged herself to help reassure her.

"Well..." Nagito rubbed the side of his head awkwardly. "I wouldn't exactly call us 'friends'."

As he said that, he felt someone kick his chair, making a sharp noise.

Nagito went wide eyed, and the class gasped.

"Did- did anyone... d-do that?" Mikan squeaked as she stepped away from Nagito's desk.

"Oooooooooo!" Ibuki squealed excitedly as she shook Mikan's nervous shoulders, making her shout in surprise. "There is totally a ghost here! And it sounds like she wants to be friends! Let's try to communicate!!!"

"Like hell it does! Let's not do that!!" Kazuichi nervously shouted.

Ibuki cupped her mouth and leaned down to the bottom of Nagito's chair, ignoring Kazuichi. "Yoohooooooo! Ghost-girl!! Come talk to usssssss! Ibuki wants to be your friend!"

After she didn't get a response, she kept bouncing around the room, calling the ghost, until she bounced near Chisa, who put her hand on Ibuki's shoulders to stop her.

"Hmph..." Gundham scoffed as he crossed his arms. "I could open up a portal to another dimension in order to meet this 'ghost girl' in person."

"Wooooooow!" Ibuki said as she bounced over to Gundham, shaking off Chisa's arm. "Ibuki definitely wants to see that!"

"Tch, you guys are all dumbasses!" Fuyuhiko grumpily replied from the corner of the room, where he was sitting, secretly listening and pretending to be disinterested.

"Yeah, Fuyuhiko has a point..." Mahiru remarked awkwardly, with a tone that felt like she was trying to convince herself more than anyone else. "After all, ghosts don't exist."

As soon as Mahiru said that, both Fuyuhiko and Mahiru simultaneously felt a light punch on their shoulders.

"What the-" Fuyuhiko stood up abruptly.

"I..!" Mahiru exclaimed worriedly.

"Woooooooo! Ghost at work punishing the non-believers!" Ibuki shouted with her fists raised in the air. "We definitely need to find a way to talk to the ghostie and help solve Nagito's ghost problemo!"

The conversation died out as everyone made small groans and looked to each other for ideas.

"I have an idea!" Chisa exclaimed happily as she raised her hand. "How about the next misty day, we all go out ghost hunting! It'll be a class bonding activity!"

No one objected, so Chisa clapped her hands together and got up from her seat. "Perfect! I'll get the supplies!"

"All riiiightttt!" Ibuki shouted. "Ghost hunting squad!"

It was safe to say that most of the students were filled with anxiety, awaiting the inevitable day they would all meet Nagito's little ghost friend.

Nagito sighed and looked out the window, wondering why he was so special and "lucky" that he was the one who caught the attention of a ghost girl
