Part 3
The one subject I despise most. I mean who really loves math?! That's just...ugh! I can't describe it (AN: NO OFFENSE TO MATH FANS!!!!!!)
I lead him to the math room, quietly. And we entered the class. Mr. Burns, the math teacher, was known to be a strict and tough teacher, but I was his best student so he wasn't like that towards me.
He stopped his instructions and when he saw me, he smiled.
"Ah! Alice! What can I do for you today?" he said, kindly.
"This is Nathan. He's new, and he wanted to stop by and see his classes." I said, politely.
"Ah, Mr. Masters! I've heard you are excellent in math! Maybe you can finally give Alice a run for her money." he said.
I looked at him, shocked. He was that good at math huh? Well, I've got some competition. His face showed nothing, though, which was strange.
"It'll be nice to have someone to compete with." I said, smiling fake-like.
Yea I hated math but for some reason I was good at it, which sucked.
"We'll see. This should be interesting." he responded.
I nodded, respectfully.
"Ok, well we will catch you up to speed tomorrow." he said, indicating that we should go now.
We left, and he began talking again.
"He seemed nice." Nathan commented.
"Yea? Don't let any of the other students hear you say that. He's suppose to be a strict, tough teacher, but since I'm his best student he seems to love me. That's why he's so nice. He probably will be the same to you." I said, revealing more than I normally would have.
"Hm...ok." he said, absorbing the info.
"So, where are you from?" I asked to make small talk. I honestly didn't care.
"Washington." he said.
"I hear it's really rainy over there." I answered.
"It is." he said, making a face.
"I love the rain." I said.
He made a face of disbelief.
"Why?" he asked, shocked.
I shrugged. I wasn't going to tell him my reason. The rain was like tears, the clouds were like people. When someone's about to cry, you can hear it in their voice. When the clouds are about to rain they turn grey. When the tears drop it relieves the troubles. When the rain drops the clouds turn white again. Ta da! Science and English into one!
Plus no one sees your tears in the rain, so you can cry however much you want and no one would notice. Not that I would cry.
"Well, Ok, Then" he said.
"The English room" I said, entering.
Ms. Sacramento, the English teacher was also talking when we walked in. She paused her lecture, and looked at us strangely. She was a nice lady, and she was very lenient too lenient if you ask me but I'm ok with it for the most part.
"Shouldn't you two be in class?" she asked, with her hands on her hips.
"I'm excused because I have to take Nathan, the new student, around to see the school." I explained.
"Ah! My apologies." She said.
"Don't worry. It's ok." I said.
"Well, Nathan. I'm glad that you decided to come here. But it's freezing cold here in Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. The coldest place in the US!" Mrs. Sacramento said.
"Yea, but I don't mind the cold." he said, smiling politely.
"Hm, ok. Well that's good." She commented.
"Alright, well, it'll be a pleasure to teach you, I'm sure." she said.
"It'll be a pleasure to be taught by you." he said, smiling nicely.
"Well, good. I'll see you tomorrow. Ok?" she said, queuing us to leave.
"Yes ma'am. Bye." he said, leaving.
We left and I shook my head.
"What?" he asked, noticing my head shake.
"I hate the cold!! How could you possibly like it?!" I yelled.
"It's not too bad." he commented.
I just shook my head again.
We started nearing the cafeteria.
"This is the cafeteria. Do you buy or bring?" I said and asked.
"Buy, usually." he said.
"K. Mrs. Angel here, will give you your number." I said, walking in.
As juniors we get some perks. See, juniors and seniors are allowed to go out to eat, McDonalds, Burger King, that kind of stuff, but only with other juniors or seniors. You can't really take freshman and sophomores but everyone does anyway. I explained that to him.
"Good, we use to be able to do that at my old school too. I want to take my little sister." he said.
"You have a sister?" I asked, interested.
"Yeah and brother, my sister Kate, is a freshman, and my brother, David, is only in 4th grade I think." he said.
"Cool. I bet their annoying right?" I asked.
"Sometimes but they're ok." He answered.
"I want siblings." I said, wishfully.
"Trust me, no you don't." he said.
"Yea, everyone keeps telling me their annoying and too much to handle but I'm good with kids." I said.
"Then I'll have to see it for myself one day." he said, hopefully.
"After this day, I won't talk to you again." I said, flatly, closing up again.
"What? Why?" he asked, confused.
"No guy policy." I said.
"What?" he asked.
That's right, he doesn't even know about it! Duh! Gosh that was idiotic!
"I just don't hang out with guys." I said.
"But don't you want a boyfriend or husband in the future?" he asked.
"No." I stated, honestly.
"Why not?" he asked.
"That's getting too personal." I said, coldly.
He stayed quiet after that.
"Mrs. Angel, this is the new kid, Nathan. He needs a lunch account." I said.
"Hi, Sweetie! Well, let's get you that right now, honey!" she said, happily.
He registered and it's our student ID number which he hasn't gotten yet.
"Well, when you get it, you know what to do. Just enter it in the keypad here and you'll have your lunch." she said, still happy.
"Thank you." he said.
"No problem, Hun. You two have a good day now!" she said, as we left.
"You too Mrs. Angel." I said, kindly.
"Next, Science." I said.
I hated science too but not as much as math it would be math first then science. (AN: NO OFFENSE TO SCIENCE FANS EITHER!!!!!!!!)
We entered, and Mrs. Burns, was giving instructions for a lab.
"Hi, Mrs. Burns." I said.
Yes, she's Mr. Burns’s wife. They both started here single and pretty young, about 27 or so, but when then they got to know each other and they started dating and soon they got married and now they have a kid too! Their like 40 something now.
"Hello, Alice. Why aren't you in class?" she asked.
"I'm showing Nathan, the new kid, around." I answered.
"Well, Hello, Nathan!" she said, brightly.
"Hello." he replied.
"I'm Mrs. Burns. I'll be your science teacher for your junior year. We've been doing some labs recently so you'll have to catch up, but we'll do that tomorrow." she said.
"Ok." he said, politely.
"Now, you guys should get to class or finish showing him around." she said, basically telling us to leave.
"Yes." I said, leaving.
As we got out, I started to hurry.
"French." I said.
"Hey, did I just make it awkward?" he asked.
"What do you mean?" I ask, hurrying more.
"By asking you if you dated or not." he said.
"No, but you should know this. I'm a closed off person. I don't generally talk to anyone other than the teachers and my friend Caitlin." I said.
"Ok, so you’re saying 'stay away from me.'?" he asked.
"Yeah, actually, I was trying to tell you that this morning but you didn't listen." I told him.
"Ouch! That hurts." he said, putting a hand to his heart, in mock hurt.
"Look. I'm here to show you around. After that, I will never talk to you again. Got it?" I said, coldly.
"You just turned cold, all of a sudden. What did I do?" he stated then asked.
I ignored him, and went into the French class.
"Parlez-vous français?" I asked.
(Do you speak French)
"Oui" was his reply.
(Yes)
"Ah! Alice! What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Bonjour Madame Belle. C'est Nathan, le petit nouveau. Il est inscrit dans votre classe." I said, in French.
(Hello madam Belle. This is Nathan, the new kid. He is enrolled in your class)
"Oh? Parlez-vous français, Nathan?" she asked.
(Oh? Do you speak French, Nathan)
"Oui. Je l'ai pris ma deuxième année." he said, just like before.
(Yes. I took it my sophomore year)
"Tout comme Alice! Vous deux, doit faire une bonne paire!" she said.
(Just like Alice! You two must make a good pair!)
"Non, nous n'avons pas, Madame la Belle" I replied, instantly.
(No. We don't, Madam Belle)
"Je pense que nous faisons." he answered.
(I think we do)
"Ah, something went wrong, didn't it?" she guessed.
"No, Madam Belle. I think it is time for us to go." I said, quickly.
"Alice. You must open up your heart. If you want happiness, you must open up your heart. Promise me you will at least try." she said.
"Madam Belle, you make no sense. I don't understand." I said.
"Sweetie. You wish for love, and happiness just like every other girl, you just haven't found it yet so you are discouraged. But you must open up your heart to him. He will give you the key. The key to love and happiness." she said gravely.
"Ah, what?" I said, not getting it.
"Nathan. Do not give up. Even if she says no a thousand times. Do not stop trying. For one day she will say yes. And they will be better than a thousand yes's, ok?" she says.
"Yes, Madam Belle." he says.
"What?" I asked, still confused.
"It will all make sense later, but right now, just open your heart to Nathan, please." she said.
"Ok, Madam Belle." I said, even though I got absolutely none of what she was saying.
"Now, go, and don't be late." she says.
We leave.
"I love Madam Belle but sometimes she acts like a fortune teller." I say to myself, shaking my head.
"Let's get to BT and then we'll head back to History." I said.
"Ok." he said, quietly.
I dash off to the BT room, and Mr. Smith is also giving us a lecture. Great.
"Hey, Mr. Smith." I say.
He's one of the cool, laid back teachers. He gets along with all the students and is pretty cool.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" he asks.
"This is Nathan, the new kid. He's in your class." I say.
"Cool! We're doing a project today, and the class was uneven, and I knew you'd end up alone but now we've got Nathan." he says.
"He's not coming here till tomorrow. He's only here to see his classes." I say.
"But, my parents say if I need to stay, I can." he interjects.
"Well, if you can stay, that'll be great. If not, everyone I'll pick their partners and if anyone wants to be your partner we'll work it out." he says.
"Nah, I'll stay." he says.
"Alright!!" he says, happily.
"Ok! Well, Bye." I said, leaving.
"He seems cool." he commented.
"He is." I say, in a bored voice.
"Well, which class to do we have now?" he asks.
"History, still." again short answer.
"So that means you don't have to come up for lunch?" he tries again.
"I don't know." I said in the same tone as before.
"Well, when you figure out tell me." he says.
I shrug and he keeps staring at me, waiting for me to so say something.
We reach the History room, and enter. He's already finished lecturing.
"Ah, you guys are back and you only took half an hour, that's not bad!" he said.
"Thank you sir. What did we miss?" I asked.
"We?" asks Mr. Suns.
"Nathan has decided to stay for the day." I declare.
"Great!! So do you have your stuff with you?" he asks.
"Yea, it's in the office." he said.
"Ok, Alice, go help him get it." Mr. Suns
"He already knows where the office is!" I say, not wanting to take him.
"Yes, but he might have a lot of stuff." Mr. Suns argues.
I groan, before walking to the office.
He had to jog to catch up.
"Hey, why are you so angry?" he asks.
I didn't reply. This seemed to annoy him. Well good.
"Look, I don't know what you have against me, but, please, at least try to get along with me." he said.
"Why do you care, if I like you or not? Or if we get along or not?" I asked, truly wondering.
"I just don't want an enemy my first day. I don't want anyone to hate me, especially, on my first day." he answered, honestly.
"I'm not your enemy ok? I don't hate you, either. I'm just not your friend and I don't like you either." I said, just to get him off my back.
"Why can't you be my friend and why can't you like me?" he asked.
"I JUST DON'T OK?! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE?!" I yelled.
"Sorry." he said, putting his hands up in surrender.
"Look, just leave me alone, and go hang out with whatever group you belong in." I said, as we reached the office.
"But—" he started.
I opened the door before he could say anything.
"Hi, Mrs. Jackson." I said, politely and fake.
"Hi, Alice! What can I do for you today?" she asks, nicely.
"Um, actually, Nathan came here to get his backpack, he'll be staying the day and he needs to tell him parents he's staying today." I said.
"Ah, well, you left your backpack here and there's a phone in here, or you can use your cell phone if you have one, but only in here." she said.
He nodded and pulled out his cell phone from his backpack. He called his parents and told them he was staying.
"My little sister is staying too." he announced.
"Great! Does she have her stuff with her?" Mrs. Jackson inquired.
"I don't know, can I check?" he asked.
"Yes, she should be in her first period. Room 2545, if you want to check." she answered.
"Thank you." he said.
"Welcome, and have a nice day!" she said to both of us.
We left and went to his sister’s class. He tried to talk to me but gave up when I pretended not to listen.
We came into the Science room for freshman.
Mrs. Dob, the science teacher, was surprised.
"Alice! What are you doing here?" she asked, surprised.
"Hi, Mrs. Deb, I'm here to see Kate Masters, the new girl, her brother wants to see her." I answered.
"Ok, well Kate." she said.
Kate stood up, and went to her brother. She had long black hair, and brown eyes, like Alex and Alec. Actually, Nathan, Kate, Alex and Alec all look alike in physical features. It's kind of shocking.
We went outside, to talk.
"Hey, bro, what’s up?" she asked.
"Who's this? She's pretty, you already got a girlfriend huh?" she said, quickly.
"What?" I asked, shocked.
"No! Will you two shut up? Let me talk." he said.
"She's not my girlfriend. She's just my guide. I came here to ask you if you had your stuff and if you’re staying. I'm not that kind of guy, she just has this intuition that tells her whenever someone’s nice and good." He said, addressing both of us.
I didn't say anything, and he groaned in aggravation, as he ran a hand through his hair. I do that too! Weird.
"Yea, I've got my stuff and I'm staying. What about you?" she asked.
"I've got my stuff too and I'm staying too. You've got the same lunch period right?" He says and asks.
"Cool and yea." she says.
"Ok, then I'll see you then. We'll go get some Burger King, ok?" he says, smiling.
"Yes!!!" she says, hugging her brother.
"I love you!" she says, as she hugs him.
I'm assuming she likes Burger King.
"I know, I'm awesome." he bragged.
"Go to class. See you at lunch. If anyone does something wrong to you, let me know. They'll definitely regret it later." he said, starting off as a sweet, caring brother and ending as an overbearingly, protective brother.
"Yea, yea, yea." she said, before entering her classroom.
We made our way back to the office, grabbed Nathan's backpack and then came back to History.
"Alright, Class. Get to work!" He said.
"What did we miss?" I asked.
"We are starting a project based on the noted we just had. It's a group project with three people. First, get your partners, then ask them for the notes." he said.
Catt and I, immediately picked each other. It's a "duh" thing. But we needed one more person.
Nathan was being crowded by everyone, they were all asking to him to be his partner. Ugh, how desperate can they get?
We couldn't find anyone. Ugh! They were all attached to him!!
"We'll start now and when he picks a partner we'll find someone. I need the notes" I said.
I started copying notes, intently looking and absorbing the information, and I was so into it I got shocked when a voice behind me, called out my name.
"Can I work with you guys, Alice?" it said.
"Yikes!" I screamed, and jumped 10ft in the air.
Catt bursted out laughing, like crazy, and I glared at her but she wouldn't stop. I then glared at Nathan.
"Sure, but rule number one don't sneak up on me, it freaks me out." I told him.
"Sorry." he said, taking the seat next to me, on my right.
Caitlin finally composed herself and sat back down on my other side. I glared at her and she threw me a smile.
"Alright! Let's get started." I said.
We were doing the Industrial Revolution, and we had to find the most beneficial, and influential, person of that time.
We picked Thomas Edison, and did a little info on him and what he did at the time.
We got all the research done, and we were pretty ahead of all the other students, when the bell rang.
"One person, needs to hold all the information." Mr. Suns said before allowing us to leave.
"I'll keep it." I said, putting the research papers in my history folder.
"Let me." he said, eagerly.
"Boys tend to lose things." I said.
"Sexist." he accused.
"It's not sexist, it's a fact." I informed.
"Guys! Really?! We're arguing about papers now?!" Cat interrupted.
"Why don't you hold it?" I said, compromising.
"Fine! If it'll get you two to stop fighting! Fine!" she said, grabbing the papers in putting them in her History folder.
We don't have any homework because this is an in class project. We, me and Nathan, also don't have to come up for lunch because we are ahead of most of the class now!
We all went to 2nd period together.
"Ah! Nathan! You've decided to stay I see!" Mr. Burns says.
"Yes, sir." he said.
"Well, you can take a seat in between Caitlin and Alice." he said.
I groaned but didn't say anything. Me and Caitlin had a seat in between us and she helps me with math and stuff sometimes and it'll be really hard with him in between!!!!
We take our seat. Today is lecture day apparently, because Mr. Suns gave a lecture, though we weren't there, and now Mr. Burns is giving us a lecture. We take notes and how to do these types of math problems and a quiz date is already set along with our homework.
That class was just note-taking and lecture-listening.
The bell rung and we headed for English. My favorite!!! We're on our creative writing unit and I'm good at that!!!
"Hello, Nathan! I thought you were coming tomorrow!" Ms. Sacramento said.
"I decided to stay." he said.
"Good. Good." she said.
"Why don't you take a seat, at Caitlin, and Alice's table? That way, we'll have even groups for our activity today." she said.
Yep. I'm sure of it now. Everything and everyone is trying to get me and Nathan together, for some reason.
I groan and sit down, Catt sits next to me and Nathan sits across from me and Catt, in front of us, kind of.
We are writing a story. All of us together, in our groups. It has to be realistic fiction but it can be anything in that genre. She wants us to start brainstorming some ideas. I get a piece of paper out and start thinking. I've got 20 ideas in 10 minutes. We put all our ideas together and Cat goes:
"Sheesh, Alice! With all these stories, it makes me wonder what's in your head." she says, reading them all.
"You don't want to know trust me. Most of them have a sad ending because happy ending, I think, are cliché." I told them.
"Hm, yea! That sounds like a good idea, because, in real life, there are no happy endings!" Nathan said.
I looked at him, weirdly. He said the same thing I always told Caitlin.
"Alice always tells me that!!!! She says in the real world there's no such thing as a happy ending!" Catt said, reading my thoughts.
"Yea, probably because we're a lot alike." he said, thoughtfully.
I snort, not at all attractive, but I do it anyway.
"No way. You and I have nothing in common. Don't compare me with you or anyone else, because I'm not like anyone else." I said, harshly.
"Whoa, Alice, Chill!!" Catt says.
"Which one are we picking?" I say, changing the subject.
"This one!" Catt said.
"The girl that got raped. Not once but twice. She's not the same as she was before. One day, a boy comes along. If she opens up, he could change her, but will she open up?" Cat read the prompt aloud.
I felt Nathan's eyes on my back, as she read, but I wouldn't look at him, for fear of the green eyes. The haunting green eyes that make me want to blurt out the truth.
"Really? You can't pick another one?" I asked.
"No, this screams at me. It's like we got to write about this." she says.
"Fine!" I say, groaning.
"I'll get started on it and you guys edit. I'm the writer, Caitlin's the editor and Nathan, you can proofread. I'll pass my rough draft to Caitlin, she'll find the mistakes and I'll fix them then give it to you for final editing, we're kind of adding to my work." I said.
They agreed. I started writing as Caitlin and Nathan stood over my shoulder for the first five minutes.
"Guys?! Do you mind?!" I yelled.
"Sorry." they said, but not in unison.
I continued writing till class was over. If I needed names, I'd ask them and as they thought I'd continue writing skipping the spaces where names go, so I could fill them in later.
I'll finish this at home, then type it up. Caitlin I'll edit it during class and then I'll fix the mistakes at home and bring to Nathan and fix at home again.
Yes!!! Lunch!!! My times matched up with Alex and Alec, so I would go visit them during lunch and grab something to eat for them.
"Hey, want to carpool with me?" Nathan asked, as he and Kate found me in the parking lot.
"No." I said, getting into my car, and driving away.
I went to Burger King, and ordered their favorite and French fries and soda for me. I went to their daycare and waited for them in the cafeteria.
I came behind them as they entered and closed both their eyes. They screamed in shock and I said:
"Guess who?"
"Alice!!!!!" They both exclaimed together.
In public, I'd trained them to call me Alice, instead of mommy. It was easier than having to come up with an excuse as to why they called me that.
I hugged them both and lead them to a table. They smiled at each other as they looked at their favorite foods.
"Who loves me?" I asked.
"We do!!" they answered, in unison, again.
"I know." I said, pretending to brag.
They ate, talked and laughed and I ate and smiled, watching them.
I looked at the time and sadly, it was time to leave.
"Guys, I got to go." I said.
"Aw!!!" they whined.
"I'll pick you up, at the same time like always." I said.
"Ok!" they agreed.
I kissed them both on the forehead and left. As I got to school, I was thinking, three more classes. Just three more classes till this nightmare is over.
Science, the dreaded class. I walked in and everyone had a partner, I wonder what we were doing. Catt was paired up already, to a guy named Max, major jock and jerk, so I knew she had done it against her will.
"Alice, you are two minutes to being late. Lucky you." Mrs. Burns said.
"Sorry." I said.
Nathan came in, panting like crazy.
"Ah, Mr. Masters! You are exactly on time! One minute more and you would have been late and on your first day too. Let's not let it happen again." she said, sternly.
"Since you two are the only two without a partner, you are each other’s partner, it worked out well." she said.
"Take a seat." she said.
There was one empty table. One science table filled two people so that's how our labs will be conducted.
"We will be doing a lab today." she started off.
No! Really?! I thought we had partners cause we were going to square dance! (in case you didn't notice, that was sarcasm)
It was a lab on chemicals. We would be experimenting with colors and chemicals. We had to put a certain amounts of chemicals, and then record what chemicals made what colors, and if we think it would be poisonous or not. Simple lab, really. But I felt something was going to go wrong.
"Alright! You may begin!!" she said, and left us to our work.
Nathan got all of the chemicals, and I was to record the reaction.
"Ok, put the blue and red one in a tube." I said.
He did as I told. It made purple, I recorded it, and it didn't look or smell poisonous so I wrote that down. He was about to mix the green with the purple when I stopped him.
"Wait! We can't mix a result with a new chemical!" I said.
"Why not?" he asked.
"It could cause the wrong reaction!" I yelled.
"Well I'm going to try it." he said anyway.
"No!" I yelled.
I was too late he already mixed it in. It caused a gray, fog-like gas to form. I coughed at the smell and swatted it away.
I was pulled away from the table by Mrs. Burns and so was Nathan.
"What did you do?!" she asked, after the fog disappeared.
"Nathan mixed a result of the blue and red with green, when I told him not to and it created that fog." I said.
"Well, you’re lucky it's not poisonous or dangerous but just to be sure get in the shower. Both of you." She said.
"What?" I asked.
"You heard me, both of you into the shower. You guys got a spare pair of clothes right?" She asked.
"Yea I do, but I'm not sure he does and I am not going into a shower with him." I said.
"Yea I have a change of clothes." Nathan answered.
"Get in." she instructed.
"I am not getting the shower with him." I repeated.
"Alice, stop arguing and get in." she said.
I got in with Nathan and she pulled the chain.
See we had a shower in the lab just in case chemical experiments, like ours, go bad.
Cold water poured on us for a minute soaking us, completely. It was freezing cold to match the freezing cold weather. It was see through glass so everyone practically stared at us, and I was totally embarrassed.
We got out and Mrs. Burns got us a towel. I shuffled through my bag and got out my clothes and changed in the stall they also had in the lab. Yea our school was pretty cool.
"Alright, now it's almost time to leave, so you guys can chat amongst yourselves until the bell rings." She says.
"I can't believe you got into a shower with another guy!" Catt says.
"Shut up. You will not speak of this to anyone." I said, angrily.
"Look, I'm really sorry—" Nathan tried.
"Yea, yea, yea. Shut up." I said, still mad.
"Is there—" he starts again.
"Just shut up and leave me alone!!!" I yelled.
The bells rang as soon as he was about to say something again. I quickly raced to French class.
"Ah, Alice! How are you today?" Madam Belle asks.
"I am fine, Madam Belle." I replied, automatically.
"And Nathan! What about you?" she asked, happily.
"I'm good too." he said.
"Good. Good. Both of you. Now, take a seat." she said.
This is the only class where we don't have assigned seats, but me and Catt still sit in the same spot. Nathan, being the annoying person he was, sat next to me. I groaned and put my head on the desk, as Catt laughed. WHY CANT HE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE?!?! Is that too much to ask?!? I mean anyone here would be more than happy to help the new kid around!!!! Why did he have to stick with me?!?!?!
French passed by quickly and easily, probably because it's my favorite class ever. I sighed as the bell rang, and we left for the last class of the period.
"Last class!!! After this, I'm going home and relaxing!!" I yelled.
I really couldn't relax, because I had to pick up Alex and Alec, then make a snack for them, and then I'd have to take them to Clara's to do their homework, which wasn't that hard, since they were only in preschool, while I went to Bella Italiano, a restaurant, that has an awesome pay, but not as good as Sam's. I work from 3:30 to 7:30 and I'd already asked them for my weekend off. After I got home, I cooked dinner and got the kids into bed, at 8:30. I would read to them, and make sure they're asleep. At 9:00pm I would start homework and it would last till 10:30 because I usually got homework in every subject. After that I'd go clean the house, just a little and it would be 12:00am by then. And I'd go to sleep and wake up at 2:45. It's a good thing it's Friday, and I have the weekend off.
That's what I've been doing for most of my life ever since the day I got raped.
"We're going to start a project today! It's in class so that's good. I'm assigning partners!" he said.
And guess who I got stuck with?! Nathan!! Oh joy!!! (In case it wasn't clear, I'm being sarcastic)
"Ugh!!!" I groan in frustration.
We have to make a poster, of what we think, is the best technical invention, and why. Seems easy enough.
"The computer. It's the most used invention and without it a lot of things wouldn't exist. Like Microsoft and the Internet." I stated, to Nathan.
"Yeah, sure, seems fine." he answered, uninterested.

"Alright! Class is almost finished. Clean up!" he said.
