Josh watched Tyler play his ukulele on the bed, the brunette sighing softly.
"It's been a week and we haven't come up with any ideas." Tyler said angrily plucking at the small instrument in his hands.
"Tyler don't be upset." The pink haired boy said softly and Tyler stopped and tossed his instrument on the bed. There was knock at the door and Brendon opened it a few seconds after.
"Hey guys I just got us invited to this killer yacht party. We should go." The raven haired boy said sticking his head in through the door.
"We're kinda busy dude." Tyler said getting up and trying to shove Brendon's forehead out the door.
"Geez alright. Meet me on the pier at ten if you change your mind!" Brendon said finally letting Tyler close the door.
Josh laughed, his tongue peeking out from his teeth. It was adorable.
"Maybe you should go Tyler we've been busy all week." Josh said and Tyler ran his fingers through his hair in thought.
"I don't know. Only if you go with me." Tyler said and Josh's smiled dropped.
"Tyler what if I get water on me." He said and the brunette just shrugged.
"We'll be surrounded by water you can jump overboard if anything happens. It's not gonna be unusual seeing people dive over I'm sure." Tyler got up and crossed to his closet. He decided to keep wearing his swim trunks and just a button up shirt since it was warm and he was most likely getting wet.
"Are you sure it'll be okay?" Josh asked and Tyler nodded.
"I got your back. Or your fin. Whatever happens I'll be there." Tyler said and Josh smiled getting up and hugging the tan boy close.
"Thanks." The pink haired boy smiled and kissing Tyler's cheek and they were wrapped in a tight embrace until the door opened and Brendon walked in.
"Dude it's gonna have a water slide. A freaking water slide!" Brendon said and Tyler let go of a confused Josh and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah yeah you had me at yacht." Tyler said and Brendon did a thumbs up before leaving the room again.

"Why is there water in the boat?" Josh asked as they walked up the ramp leading do the big yacht in front of them.
"It's called a pool. It's like swimming without the ocean. Only there's chemicals cause a lot of people swim in it and the more I talk the more I wonder why pools exist." Tyler explained which more than likely just confused Josh more.
Brendon went in front of them and a burly looking guy gave them a once over before checking something off a list and stepping aside letting them aboard.
Bright lights flashed everywhere as girls and boys dressed in bathing suits were dancing and drinking everywhere you looked.
Josh's eyes were wide as the reflection of the flashing lights bounced off his hazel orbs almost keeping him in a trance.
Brendon and Mark began going inside where the drinks were, Tyler grabbing Josh's hand pulling him along. Everyone began downing drinks, except for Josh who had no idea what to do.
"Here." Tyler said handing Josh a brightly colored shot glass.
"It smells awful." Josh said crinkling his nose at the liquid.
"Alright just one then, you wanted the full experience remember?" Tyler said and downed his shot, scrunching his face at the aftertaste. Josh downed his own and gagged immediately causing Tyler to laugh at him.
"That stuff is awful!" Josh complained wiping his mouth.
"It gets better after the fifth one." Brendon said draping his arms around Josh and downing one of his own.
"I'm not getting as plastered as before." Tyler said and smiled as Brendon shrugged and kept downing drinks.
The lights flashing in the other room caught Josh's attention and he began making his way towards it, Tyler following quickly. It was a dance area with very loud music that you could feel in your chest when it played.
"Come on dance with me!" Tyler yelled pulling Josh along into the crowd of people.
"I don't know how!" Josh shouted over the music and Tyler just laughed and wrapped his arms around the pink haired boy.
"Nobody else in here does either, they're all trashed." Tyler smiled before twirling Josh around and keeping him at arms length while they danced.
Josh giggled as Tyler pulled him in again and kissed him swiftly. Everything was going better than both boys expected. Suddenly Mark came in through the crowd.
"You guys gotta come see this." Mark said and tugged at Tyler who was still holding Josh.
"What is it?" Tyler said a little annoyed and Josh looked at Mark curiously.
"It's Brendon." Mark said and a knowing look spread across his face and all three boys immediately began their way back to the deck of the yacht.
By this time the yacht was anchored out a good ways from the beach, many teens diving off the railing into the ocean below.
But Brendon always had to take it to the next level.
"Oh my god what is he doing up there." Tyler gasped as they gathered around a crowd of intoxicated teens all with their phones out recording or taking pictures. Brendon had somehow managed to climb to the roof of the yacht.
"What's up fuckers?!" Brendon yelled down at them. "I'm about to do the sickest backflip you've ever seen!"
"Oh this is bad." Tyler said trying to scramble through the crowd of teens. Mark squinted his eyes.
"Great he's naked." Mark sighed and Tyler rolled his eyes. Of course.
"How many shots did he have?" Tyler grumbled and stopped trying to get through the crowd. There was no way he was going to be able to get up there in time to grab him.
"Brendon DON'T!" Mark and Tyler tried yelling up at him but their pleas were drowned out by the music and the other teens chanting him on.
"What are we gonna do?" Tyler said frantically as Brendon teetered on the edge of the ship.
"Pray he doesn't die." Mark said and took a swig of his beer.
There was a loud gasp from the crowd as Brendon jumped, legs and arms flailing everywhere in an attempt to backflip drunkenly. There was a loud splash and everyone crowded around the area where Brendon had landed in the ocean.
But Brendon never surfaced.
Without a second thought Tyler ran down to the small dock area on the yacht and dove into the water. He swam around the side of the boat and almost screamed.
"Josh what the hell are you doing?" Tyler almost screeched and then realized Josh was holding an unconscious Brendon in his arms.
"How did you do that without anybody seeing you?" He asked as Josh handed Brendon over.
"I went in before he even hit the water. There was no way he would have made that and been okay." Josh said and Tyler kissed him gently.
"You're a lifesaver. Now just stay out of sight and I'll meet you at home soon okay?" Tyler said and Josh nodded before diving back down into the water. Tyler swam around the side of the yacht with Brendon, pulling him up on the dock where he was immediately wrapped in a towel before slapped awake by Mark.
"Is he okay?" Tyler asked worriedly
and Mark nodded as Brendon giggled on the ground.
"Yeah he's fine, he's just really fucking drunk." Mark said and smiled a bit as people kept taking pictures of him. "Let's get back home. He's gonna hate this decision in the morning."
Tyler laughed, looking in the distance on the shore and saw familiar pink hair waiting for him.

Tyler and Mark helped a still very intoxicated Brendon out of the small boat that was used for people who wanted to leave the party.
Tyler opened the door to the beach house while Mark dragged him in and into his room before tossing him on the bed.
"He gonna be okay like that?" Tyler said and Brendon snored flopping over, still wrapped in a towel.
"Dang he's out cold." Josh said in the doorway causing Mark to jump.
"How'd you get here?" Mark asked considering he wasn't with them during the incident.
"Oh he took another boat." Tyler said quickly covering up for him. Josh just nodded along and Mark just shrugged and yawned before waving them off to go to his room.
"You're amazing you know that?" Tyler said causing Josh to blush again. "I mean it."
"Thanks." Josh said his cheeks flushing pinker as Tyler kissed him gently.
"Want go for a swim before the sun comes up?" Tyler asked and Josh nodded excitedly before taking the brunette's hand as they both ran back outside and into the water.
Tyler loved swimming with Josh, it had become one of his favorite things to do. Josh could take Tyler farther out than the brunette could go on his own which was slightly frightening but with Josh his fear
melted away.
"I wish I could spend my life out here like this." Tyler said floating on his back, his hand intertwined with Josh's.
"Yeah it's amazing." Josh said staring at the star lit sky, the moon casting ghostly images on the water. "But being on land with you has been a better experience than anything I've done in the water."
This time it was Tyler's face that turn pink. "I love you, we'll figure this out okay?" Tyler said pulling Josh over to him into a hug.
"What is that?" Josh said squinting his eyes as he looked over Tyler's shoulder.
"What's what?" Tyler asked turning around. He almost screamed. There were at least five fins swimming towards them extremely fast. Tyler started swimming away but Josh grabbed him and held him close.
"It's not sharks." Josh said simply wrapping his arms about the nervous boy.
Suddenly three heads popped out from the water a few feet from them.
"Prince Joshua, you were seen crossing into our territory earlier this evening. We have come to collect you for an explanation." The slightly intimidating merman said.
"I was rescuing a human! Am I seriously going to be asked to appear before the king for such a minor indiscretion?" Josh said angrily.
"As small as the reason, you still crossed territories without permission. You have been summoned by his Majesty would like a word with you nonetheless." The other merman spoke and Josh flicked his tail anxiously.
"Fine. I'll be there in an hour." Josh said and the merman's nodded their heads before handing Josh an official summons paper.
"One hour Joshua." The merman said before all three disappeared back into the water.
"What happened?" Tyler asked confused as Josh began swimming back towards the beach with Tyler in his arms.
"When I dove overboard to get Brendon I forgot that wasn't my father's territory. It's the neighboring kingdom's." Josh said bitterly finally arriving to the pier, helping Tyler up onto the wooden dock.
"So you have to go see him?" Tyler said sadly and Josh nodded.
"If I don't it'll just make it worse. I promise I'll be back soon okay." Josh said and Tyler bent down to kiss him, the saltwater taste now in his mouth.
"I love you." Tyler said and Josh smiled.
"I love you too." The pink merman said and with that, he dove under the water and was gone.
