🎓Nagisa🔪
"So Nagisa, how was it?"
I paused eating my breakfast and looked up my mother, tilting my head to the side in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"Oh come on." She said and cut a piece of pancake. "You know what I mean."
I frowned and also cut my own pancake. "Like I said, I don't know what you're talking about." She huffed and chewed the piece and then swallowed before talking again.
"Your date." She said and pointed his fork accusingly, making me lean back.
"Mom, that's dangerous!" I exclaimed when she leaned forward. "The fork!"
She looked at her hand startled and immediately retreats, flashing an apologetic smile and a peace sign. I sighed and pouted a little.
"And also, I didn't have any date." I said, eating the last bit of my pancake.
"Oh? But you said yesterday that you're going out with that strawberry." Her head tilted to the side as if she was confused, making me sigh again.
"He's my best friend, mom. Best. Friend. And it's not a date." I explained then chugged my glass of milk. Mom hummed in amusement before finishing her meal, too.
"Well, whatever it's called, how did it go?" I paused. Should I tell her what happened?
Of course, I should. She's my mother.
"It went pretty well. But Karma-kun brought us to a restaurant. Geez, I even told him it was fine if we only visited a cafe or something." I pouted a little. "And also, there was this manager who called me little. His name was...um, Toshiro-san, if I remember right. And yeah, nothing much. The steak was delicious even the chocolate cake."
I did say I'll tell her, but it doesn't have to be all of it, right?
"Hoho~ so you enjoyed it, huh?" Mom teasingly commented, hiding her grin behind her hand's fingers.
"Well, I did enjoy it since it's been long when we hanged out." I said, probably also to myself.
"But still..." I turned to look at her when she hummed. "Why are you still calling him with honorifics? You don't do that in the past."
I paused.
"I mean, you call your closest friends by their names without one, and Karma is your best friend. Do you think he might become jealous?"
Jea...lous?
I smiled at her, catching her off guard.
"....I don't think so."

"Good morning, Nagisa!"
"Good morning Kayano."
Kayano and I walked together up the mountain and talked while on our journey. When we reached the top, we saw Okuda-san by the entrance.
"Ah, good morning Okuda-san!" I greeted and Kayano hugged her. Okuda-san smiled at us.
"G-good morning...S-Shiota-kun." She was quite embarrassed, though I don't know why.
"Nagisa is fine, Okuda-san." I said with a smile. She seemed surprised at what I said and fidgeted her fingers.
"T-then...call me Manami, Nagisa-kun." I looked at her a-bit-blushing form before chuckling a little.
"Got it, Manami." She smiled and Kayano patted her back.
"Eh~? Nagisa-kun you're here now?" We all looked behind and saw a redhead with his hands in his pockets.
"Ah, good morning, Karma-kun." I greeted, and so did the others. He just smiled and did the same.
"By the way, Nagisa-kun. Why are you just standing outside?" He asked, tilting his head a little to he side.
"Ah. Well, we met Manami here and talked a bit." I said as I smiled.
"Manami...?"
"Okuda. Manami Okuda. Geez, you should remember your classmates' names, Karma-kun." I chuckled. He smiled and also laughed.
"Haha sorry, sorry. Let's go."
I won't be fooled. Somehow, there's something off in Karma-kun's smile.

"Okay class. Time for lunch!" Koro-sensei said after the bell rang. Everyone started to pull out their lunch boxes and grouped with their friends. Others just went out to do things.
I stood up my seat and was about to go out when a hand grabbed my arm. The sudden touch made me flinch, immediately turning my head to the side away and forced my eyes close.
"Nagisa-kun?" My eyes opened and looked behind, catching Karma-kun's confused and concerned expression. I awkwardly laughed and apologized.
"Sorry, I was just about to go to the bathroom. You kinda surprised me." I said.
"Ah. Oh...sorry." He retreated his hand and waved off. "Let's eat lunch together at the same spot, okay?" I nodded with a smile before running out.
I walked the rundown corridor towards the bathroom. When I reached the wooden door, I internally sighed in relief when no one was inside.
I went inside and locked the door, just to be sure no one would see what I'll do. When I retracted my arm, I suddenly closed my eyes in pain. Carefully sliding my sleeves up, I gasped when I saw a small mark of blood on the bandage.
"Good thing it didn't reach my clothes." I mumbled to myself before unwrapping the strip, replacing it with a new one I successfully hid in my pocket.
"Now, where should I dispose this...?" The trash can won't do, they might see it. Running down the mountain would seem suspicious, and burying this would take me too long. I can't make Karma-kun wait any longer.
"Argh! I'll just put it inside my bag first!" I dashed out of the bathroom and kept the dirty bandage at the bottom inside my bag, then grabbed my lunch to meet my best friend.
"Sorry for the wait!" Karma-kun perked up and grinned at me, patting the ground beside him. I obliged and we ate lunch peacefully, with stories and jokes heard. After around an hour, the bell rang and we stood to go back. It was still kinda surprising that he decided not to skip and actually listen to lessons. Though, I guess it's for the good.

"Eh?"
I rummaged through my bag desperately.
"Oh no, where was it??"
The blooded bandage is missing!
"I should've left it or maybe it fell...or I forgot to put it inside my bag." Worriedly, I tried to remember where I could've left that piece of evidence.
"Nagisa-kun." I jumped when a voice called out behind me. I pouted and glared a bit at Karma-kun.
"Geez, don't scare me like that!" He stared at me confusedly.
"Are you alright? Somehow, your face is pale." He asked me, reaching out to my forehead. I smiled and nodded.
"I'm fine. Sorry, let's go home." I cheered and he removed his hand, flashing a smile before turning to the door.
Glancing back at my bag, I sighed before picking it up and following my best friend.

"Hey, Karma-kun." He hummed while tilting his head to my direction, though not really looking at me. We're now walking to the station and I decided to ask what is bothering me.
"Why are you so happy right now? I mean, you seem different today. Like...something good happened. What is it?" He stopped on his tracks, making me do the same and feel nervous. He turned to look at me with a smile. Though, I know there's something underneath that.
He stepped towards me and leaned forward. The action made me shut my eyes, a bit scared on what will happen.
But what happened next made me open them in surprise. He patted my head gently, as if I was fragile and'll break once not properly handled. I stared up at him and met a pair of warm golden mercury orbs.
"Karma...kun?" He chuckled a bit and grabbed my hand.
"Sorry, it was nothing."
I know everything's right.
