I carefully swing Gwen back to her fire escape. She looks deep into my eyes. "Thanks Peter. That was the best night I've had in a long time." She says, wrapping her arms around me. " No Problem Gwen. Same here. Have a nice night!" I say. I make sure she gets in safely, and decide to walk back home. It seems like everything went ok while I was gone. I love it when the city is quiet. It's always like this after some big crisis. I look at the shops, all the lights are off but the refrigerators are giving off a small glow. It's starting to get cold. I can hear shouting coming from a small alley. "Give me the money or I'll kill you! Then you won't get to see your previous little boy again, will you?" I quickly find the nearest bathroom, and change into spiderman. I walk casually up the alley. I can see a man. He has blond, shoulder length hair, and a tattoo of a star on his left wrist. Suddenly, I realise who he his. Uncle Ben flashes through my mind. "So, long time no see old pall! Thought you were still in jail? How'd you escape then?"
I say to him. He turns around, and his face suddenly changes. " Remember me? I hung you from that building so the police could find you! Good Times!!!" I say. " And you were so desperate to get into jail,.." I say, putting on a fake laugh. " because you were so scared of me!" I laugh. I walk towards him, and pin him web him against the wall. I walk close to his face. "You would've thought you'd learned your lesson by now." I say. I look at the small man trembling in the background. I give him a small thumbs up. He quickly runs down the alley. I walk back down the alley, and change back into my ordinary clothes.
I walk in, closing the door quietly incase Aunt May is asleep. I walk through to the kitchen. Aunt May is standing there, washing dishes (as usual). "Aunt May, why aren't you asleep?" I say. "Well, I just thought I'd get all the housework done before the weekend, just so that I can relax." She says, scrubbing a china plate. I nod, and she continues to scrub the china plate clean. "How was your night, Peter?" She asks. "It was great! I took Gwen to..." I pause. " I took Gwen to this place that she likes downtown, you know, the one where they sell Korean Meatballs." I reply. There is a short pause before she says anything again. "Oh, Young Love. The Best Kind. " I give a small smile, then retire to my room. I lie on my bed, before the urge to text Gwen takes over.
'You Ok?' I text.
'Never Better' She replies, almost straight away.
'Did u have a nice time tonight?' I text.
'That's the stupidest question ever! Of Course I did Peter!!! xxxxx ILYSM!!!!!!!!' She text.
And a small smile creeps onto my face, without me even knowing.
