Your P.O.V.
Once again you, Newt, Tina, Queenie and Jacob Apparated into a narrow alleyway that led to a deserted street of New York City.
Given the first chance you've got, you immediately changed from your evening dress into your comfortable work clothes followed by Tina and Queenie.
Newt was secretly staring at you, wanting to print the image of you in a dress into his brain forever.
Once you changed and your coat was finally on you, embracing you into its warmth, you noticed Pickett, who was climbing into the breast pocket of your coat. You quickly but carefully grabbed Pickett and turned to Newt, handing the Bowtruckle to him. Newt outstretched his arm towards you, stopping when his hand was right next to yours. You placed Pickett on the back of Newt's hand, but the little creature refused to let go of you. The expression on Newt's face turned into amused and slightly annoyed one from Pickett's sulking.
"Pickett, come on." You said, slightly pleading.
The Bowtruckle only tightened his grip on your fingers.
"Pickett." You said, now more sternly.
Pickett gave you an annoyed 'Alright, you win' look and finally let go of you settling on Newt's hand.
"Come on, we need to go." Tina said, also slightly annoyed and walked onto the street.
Newt quickly placed Pickett inside his breast pocket and you both followed Tina, Queenie and Jacob.
They were headed right across the street towards a huge building of a department store. Its windows were full of glamorously dressed mannequins.
Jacob was the first one to approach the shop windows and was staring at a handbag which, seemingly of its own accord, was sliding down the arm of a mannequin. You, Newt, Tina and Queenie hurryed up behind him and watched as the bag hovered in mid-air and floated off into the store.
Quickly, you all Disaparated from the street and Apparated into the closed shop.
A well-presented department store was decorated for Christmas, with aisles full of expensive jewellery, shoes, hats and perfume. The place was shut down for the night, all the lights were off, no noises could be heard, but thanks to the big windows, you could see pretty well with the light coming from the streetlights outside.
You watched the handbag float down the central aisle, accompanied by small grunting noises.
You, Newt, Tina, Queenie and Jacob quickly tiptoed through the store, coming to hide behind a large plastic Christmas display. You eyed up the floating bag.
"So Demiguises are fundamentally peaceful, but they can give a nasty nip if provoked." Newt whispered.
The Demiguise itself finally appeared, a silvery-haired, orangutan-like creature, with a curious, wizened face, was clambering over a display to reach a box of sweets.
"You two... head that way." Newt whispered to Jacob and Queenie.
They started moving as Newt told them to.
"And try very hard not to be predictable." You warned.
Jacob and Queenie exchanged perplexed glances before heading off into the store, leaving you, Newt and Tina behind the display.
Suddenly, you heard a small roar in the distance.
The Demiguise, heard the sound too, and looked up towards the ceiling, before continuing to gather sweets, now shoveling them into its handbag.
"Was that the Demiguise?" Tina asked.
"No, I thing it might be the reason why the Demiguise is here." Newt whispered.
Quietly you, Newt and Tina, started swiftly moving down an aisle towards the Demiguise, which was now moving away from you through the store.
However, once the Demiguise realised it's been spotted, it turned and looked at Newt quizzically, before moving up a set of side stairs. A smile appeared on Newts face, while he watched one of his creatures. You smiled too, developing a theory why the Demiguise was here in the first place. You and Newt quickly exchanged glances before moving to follow.
Together with Newt you started going up a set of stairs with Tina following right behind you two. When you reached the end of the stairs, you saw a single door, which was slightly opened. Newt went in first, slowly opening the door just wide enough for a person to go through, followed by you and Tina.
Once you stepped inside, you found yourself in a huge, dark attic-space, filled floor to ceiling with shelves packed with boxes of china dinner services, teacups and general kitchenware.
You saw the Demiguise walk along the attic in a patch of moonlight. It glanced around before stopping and emptying its handbag full of confectionery on the floor.
"Its sight operates on probability, so it can forsee the most likely immediate future." Newt explained to Tina.
Both of you slowly creeped further into the room with your similar walks. But you stopped, while Newt creeped all the way up behind the Demiguise.
You curiously eyed Newt and Dougal, smiling realising that you were right.
"So what's it doing?" Tina asked.
"It's babysitting." You said.
Tina looked at you with wide eyes.
The Demiguise held up one of the sweets, seeming to offer it up to someone or something.
"What did you just say?" She asked.
"This is my fault. I thought I had them all, but I must have miscounted." Newt calmly whispered.
Jacob and Queenie entered the attic quietly. Newt calmly moved forwards and kneeled beside the Demiguise, which made space for him in front of the sweets. Then Newt carefully placed his case down.
Suddenly, a shift of light revealed the purple-bluish scales of a large creature hiding in the rafters of the attic. Tina looked up in horror.
"It was babysitting that?" She asked, her voice panicked.
The face of the Occamy came into view, this Occamy was huge, coiled round and round itself to fill the entire attic roof-space.
It moved slowly down towards Newt and the Demiguise who, again, offers up a sweet. Newt remained very still.
"Occamies are choranaptyxic. So they grow to fill the available space." He educated.
The Occamy spotted Newt, and slowly craned its head towards him. Newt gently held up his hand.
"Mummy's here." He said, in a calming way.
Suddenly, you noticed that the Demiguise's eyes flashed a brilliant blue, a sign that it was having a premonition.
As suddenly as they turned blue, the Demiguise's eyes turned back to brown.
Out of the corner of youe eye, you noticed Queenie move slowly forward, staring at the Occamy. As she did so she accidentally kicked a tiny glass bauble on the floor, which jingled as it rolled. At the sound, the Occamy reared up, screeching. Newt immediately tried to calm the large creature.
"Whoa! Whoa!"
Jacob and Queenie quickly staggered backwards to find cover. The Demiguise immediately followed and jumped into Jacob's arms.
The Occamy swooped upwards, scooping Newt up onto its back as it violently thrashed about the attic, sending shelves flying. You quickly ducked down to avoid the Occamy's tail from hitting you right in the face. Newt shouts out.
"Right, we need an insect, any kind of insect, and a teapot! Find a teapot!" Newt shouted and you immediately sprung to action.
Tina arm-crawled through the chaos, dodging falling items, trying to find what Newt had asked for.
The wings of the Occamy crashed down the floor, narrowly missing Jacob as he stumbled around, encumbered by the Demiguise now clinging to his back.
You ran and crawled around the attic trying to find eather an insect or a teapot.
By every second, Newt found it harder and harder to hold on as the Occamy became more and more distressed, its wings now thrashing upwards, destroying the roof of the building.
In the meantime, Jacob turned, both he and the Demiguise spotting a stray cockroach on a crate. Jacob reached his hand up to grab it, when part of the Occamy crashed down, destroying the crate and his chance.
Tina continued crawling across the floor with a great determination, in hot pursuit of a cockroach.
Queenie, who screamed as she was knocked to the floor by the force of the Occamy, was now crawling away from it. Jacob ran up behind her and dived forwards, flat onto the floor, finally laying claim to a cockroach.
Meanwhile, you found a box of Chinese service and opened it, finding a perfect teapot.
"Teapot!" You yelled across the attic as you stood up, clutching the Teapot in your hand.
At this noise, the Occamy reared it's head once more, causing its tail to writhe, squishing and pinning Jacob with the Demiguise against one of the rafters.
You and Jacob were now at opposite ends of the room, neither daring to move, swatches of Occamy scales between you.
The Demiguise, who was clutching to Jacob's back, looked swiftly up to the side and promptly vanished. Jacob slowly turned to follow the Demiguise's gaze, noticing that the Occamy's face was now inches away from his own, staring with full intensity at the cockroach in his hand. Jacob barely dared to breath.
Newt peered round from behind the Occamy's head.
"Roach in Teapot..." He instructed Jacob.
Jacob gulped, trying not to make eye contact with the huge creature next to him.
"Shhh..." Jacob tried to soothe the Occamy by slightly patting it.
Then he made eye contact with you from across the room, widening his eyes at you, warning of his intent.
Quickly, Jacob threw the roach. It soared through the air as the Occamy's body began to move once again, unfurling and swirling round the room.
Newt quickly jumped from the Occamy's back, landing safely on the floor, while Queenie took cover, placing a colander over her head.
You ran, teapot outstretched, hurdling and jumping over the Occamy's coils, followed by the tail of your long black coat as you went. Once you reached the center of the room you landed on your knees, the cockroach falling perfectly into the teapot.
The Occamy reared up, shrinking rapidly as it rose, before diving down head first. You rose your head, somehow hipnotized by the sigh of the mesmerizing creature and its abilities. The Occamy raced down towards the teapot, and glided seamlessly inside.
Out of nowhere, Newt raced forwards, also on his knees and jammed a lid on top of the teapot. Both of you breathed heavily, in relief, happy that all of the creatures were in safety.
"Choranaptyxic. They also shrink to fill the available space." Newt said to the sisters and the No-Maj, while looking at you, smiling.
You looked at him and smiled too, while listening to the now tiny Occamy gobbling down its cockroach.
"Tell me the truth, was that everything that came out of the case?" Tina asked, while trying to catch her breath, a slight tone of annoyance in her voice.
"That's everything, and that's the truth." Newt answered while glancing from the teapot to you, smiling once again.
You smiled at him again, blushing slightly, knowing exactly the feeling he was feeling right now. The feeling of everything just being right again.
