Melanie's POV (Amber's mom)
I was chained to a wall and locked up in a dark room.
I hate this so much.
This brought back memories of when my own father had kidnapped me and done the same thing.
Someone walked in and I felt my wolf rise within me.
No, it can't be. Not now.
"Ah, after so many years, it's so good to finally see you again," his mocking voice echoed through my head.
"Why are you just trying to talk to me now?"
"We'll you moved so far away. I couldn't find you," he smirked.
Under the shadows his face was scary.
"Bull shit, you knew where I was this whole time. AND you knew who in was with."
"Tsk...tsk...tsk... you shouldn't talk to me like that."
"I'm sure you also knew that your daughter grew up without you," I spit at him.
"I don't know what your talking about. That little monster is Joe's."
"That's where your wrong. I had her blood tested. Amber is your child."
I could see emotion flash threw his eyes for a second before they went back to their normal, evil selves.
"Your lying."
"Why would I lie? There would be no point in that."
Now it was my turn to smirk.
His face dropped and he walked up to me before smacking my face.
"How dare you lie to me!"
"How dare you hurt your own mate!"
Amber's POV
Slowly walking up the stairs I sat down on one and put my head in my hands.
I'm all alone.
Kellan probably won't ever want to talk to me. My mom is missing. And my father i-is dead.
"Why?" I asked out loud.
'Everything happens for a reason,' a female's voice said.
"Who's there?"
No one answered.
A light balb went off in my head and I thought of how I would do this.
I read something about the moon goddess being able to communicate with all wolves.
I took a deep breathe and concentrated on what my mother looked and sounded like.
"Mom?"
Nothing.
I tried again, louder this time.
"Mom?"
"Amber?" I weak voice asked.
She sounded so depressed and like she hasn't slept in so long.
"Are you okay? Where are you?"
"Jaxon Lee," was all she said before our connection was lost.
Who's Jaxon.
Might as well find out.
I pulled out my I-phone 5s and went to google.
Looking up Jaxon Lee, I found no matches.
All of a sudden my phone froze before a screen popped up.
It didn't have a title but from what I could tell, it was a list of all werewolves... and their mates.
Typing in the males name, I gasped at what information was given.
It can't be true.
This man is... My mother's mate?
As I scrolled down I almost passed out right there.
Mate of Melanie Williamson and father of Amber Williamson and Katlyn Lee.
My whole life was a freaking lie?!
