Chapter 26: Goomba Appreciation Day

Hello everyone today is Goomba Appreciation day. What's today about? It's the day when we respect Goombas and the things they have done to the Mushroom Kingdom community. Now today, the people who have created this day have visited our school. Now look I agree with everything they said, besides the part with the Goomba mask. I mean the fact that the person who made the game said it himself "It's just a mask." Now look this is not a joke us Goombas do so much for this Land, Galaxy, and World. I'll give you my full opinion on the matter later but first let me tell you something. First the video is linked with the picture. Second this video in my school made people cry. Third I'll tell you when to watch the video. Now let my girlfriend Goombella tell you here thoughts on the matter. "Hello everyone as most of you may already know I've joined Mario on one of his Paper Adventures. Some Goombas did charge at us but a few he just attacked literally! No offense to our teacher and hopefully he isn't reading this but I think he's goomist! Yeah I just said it, he attacks any Goomba that isn't good like me, Goombario, Tyrone, and Goom. Me and my old professor, (who lives in Rougeport where I use to live) Professor Frankly are one of the smartest Goombas in the Mushroom Kingdom and Mario trusts us because we helped him! Now here's Goom to say his opinion on the matter." "Thanks Goombella. Now look I hate Tyrone's guts but today I learned that we are lucky not to be squished. I may be the coolest Goomba around but I don't think that anyone deserves a death by a dirty shoe or a fire ball. Now here's Goombario." "Hello everyone my name is Goombario. Like Goombella I also know a lot about the world without a book. Yeah that's why I broke up with Goombella I'm to good for here. What's that? No it wasn't the other way around... Anyways. I was named after the guy and everything and I wasn't featured in any other game! Us Goombas can be featured in one game and never seen again even if we are fan favorites!" Thank you guys. Now look guys I'm about to show you our full day at school, so here it is. Today was Goomba appreciation day so the makers of the holiday visited our school to give us an inspirational speech. (Ok guys now watch the video.) Afterwards everyone was in tears besides Bowser Jr and Bowser. Even Mario was in tears. He went up stage and said "To all the Goombas in the school. I didn't realize that I caused all of this pain to your kind. I shall stop collecting 100-200 more points from this day forward!" When we got back to home room Bowser Jr was talking to his goons and Goomshroom ran away in tears. I walked over to Bowser Jr and said "What did you say?" He said "I told him that he's just a dumb minion. Another person to be squished and to walk off a cliff!" Jacob and Chris I'm guessing heard what he said and started listening to our conversation. I said "How dare you! That's goomist! Us Goombas have helped your father's community for so many years! Some of us had enough if you and your father's trouble so we fought against you!" Then it suddenly got darker and when I looked behind me I saw Principle Bowser. He said "How dare you defy my kingdom with your common sense!" I backed up and Jacob and Chris ducked. Goombella backed up to her seat. Bowser said "My office now!" I said "So because I'm fighting for my rights I'm getting sent to your office!? Fine! This system is broken anyway." When I got in Bowser said "Look Tyrone, my son has told me about you and your deeds." I said "So he lied to you?" Bowser said "My son would never do that to me!" I thought of all the times he lied to one of my friends. Bowser said "Goomba I can understand why you would get mad but did you really have to make a scene like that? I mean you all look the same to me." I said "Yes I definitely look the same as a Goomba with a blue cap, a Goomba with blond hair and a helmet and a Goomba with Elvis hair." Bowser said "Ok you've made your point. Go back to class sorry for the inconvenience." I said "So what's gonna happen to Jr?" Bowser said "That's none of your business. I told you to go back to class." When I got back everyone went quite. I sat at the seat next to Jacob and said "Why are you all quite?" Jacob said "You came back alive. We all thought you would've been burnt to a crisp." I said "No w-." Then Bowser Jr walked to my desk and said "So you came back alive huh? Impressive. But you can't escape me. Me, you after school." I said "Yeah, no I'm not that gullibl-." Jacob said "Your on!" Bowser Jr said "Ok then. See you then." I looked at Jacob and said "Are you serious?!" After school I hid in the arcade. Goom and Goombario came up to me and Goom said "Look you know we all hate each other because of Goombella." Goombario said "I hate both of you because he's dating her and your after her too." Goom nodded and said "But either way we can all come to a conclusion." We all said at the same time "Bowser Jr sucks." I said "Yeah but the last time I tried battling him without a sword or super powered headphones I always get a black eye." Goom said "That's why we are gonna train you." I said "Well I guess I don't have a choice huh?" Goom said "You do but Jr is right outside so if you wanna get yourself killed again then go ahead." I said "Yep lets get going." We went out the back and they brought me to Little Jac's house. I said "Why are we here?!" Goombario said "So we can train. We have an hour until Little Jac gets back from his match against Stained Glass Joey." I said "Fine lets get going." We started training and training it felt like it wasn't stopping. When we were almost done I said "Wait a minute? I'm a Goomba! I don't have any arms how am I suppose to fight?!" Goom said "Use your feet here take this." He put a sweatbandon my forehead with a control pad symbol on it. The next day after school I went to the back of the school waiting for Bowser Jr. When he came he said "Your a day late but this will do." He got out his paintbrush and slashed at me I dodged and jumped and tried kicking him. He blocked with his paintbrush and slashed at me with his claws. He said "So what are you gonna do now?" I said "I'm gonna keep fighting." I tried head bonking him but he dodged and slashed again. Then he started breathing fire at me but I dodged all of them luckily and I kicked him to the wall. He breathed a surprise fireball at me and everything went black again. I knew I wasn't actually awake but I was awake? What? I couldn't speck or breath so how was I alive?! Then I saw a plumber in blue overalls. I thought that had to be Mario. I saw a Goomba and I knew what was about to happen. Yep he squished it for 100 points. I started crying and I ran over to the Goomba. He said "Please take this." He gave me a mushroom and disappeared. I started crying a little more then everything went white and I woke up. Goombella had some mushroom soup on her head and said "You actually battled Bowser Jr... Again?" I said "It was for my rights!" She said "He's Bowser Jr, after you left to Bowser's office he said "hahaha I tricked him, time for part 2," he's just a jerk." I said "Well ok then. Well can I have some mushroom sou-. When I looked on my shelf I saw my Smash Bros case. A picture of me and Goombella and that mushroom. I seriously thought it was a dream or something. Goombella said "You ok?" I said "Huh? Oh, yeah I'm feeling better lets go to the park or something." Ok so that's my day but really thinking about what that plumber use to do and the fact that I witnessed it myself it truly is sad. There's no blood or gore don't worry. We just get squished! Really all minions have to go through something like this but anyways Happy Goomba Appreciation Day. Don't stomp a Goomba today and play the early Paper Mario games to be friend a few.
