Chapter 4:
"For me?" a two year old Zaara asked, her vocabulary still limited but growing daily. "For Zaara?"
"Yes, pari," Viren confirmed, kneeling beside her. "All for you. This is your special place."
Zaara clutched the unicorn to her chest, then spun in a wobbly circle, taking in every detail of her new domain. Her joy was palpable, radiating from her in waves that seemed to lighten the very air around them.
"Pretty," she declared, pointing to the fairy lights twinkling above. "Stars!"
"Yes, stars," Viren agreed, his throat tight with emotion. "Just for you."
Chapter 15:
A smug grin tugged at her lips. This was it. They were finally getting close to proving that Chachu wasn't the villain everyone thought.
Just as she hit send, a shadow loomed over her.
"Zaara."
Her fingers froze mid-air.
That voice. That tone.
Dread crept up her spine like a slow, merciless tide. She turned, ever so carefully, phone slipping behind her back.
Veer stood at the door, arms crossed, jaw set tight as steel. His eyes-God, his eyes. Cold, sharp, already drilling into her with silent accusation.
He knew.
Her mouth went dry. "Bhai?"
"Phone."
Zaara tried for her best clueless act. "K-kya phone?"
Veer took a step forward, towering over her, his presence suffocating. "Jo tu chhupa rahi hai." His tone was too calm. The calm before a storm that was about to hit full force.
Zaara swallowed. Think. Lie. Bluff. Run.
None of those would work. She was doomed....
They were three brothers-hearts full of love, now fractured by tragedy. Ever since the day they lost their mother, their hearts have carried a quiet storm-grief buried beneath unspoken rage, all directed at the one man they once trusted most: their father.
And yet, the father remains close-waiting in silence, hoping for a moment, longing for the day his sons will finally let him speak... to reveal the truth that's been buried beneath years of pain.
Far away, a girl mourns the loss of her mother-the only family she ever had. In a single moment, she becomes an orphan... even though she knows she has a father who doesn't even know she exists... and the half-brothers who have no idea she was ever born.
Her mother never hid the truth, but told it gently, not to place blame, only to help her understand. There were villains in their story, yes... but her parents were not among them. They were both victims of a cruel plan that tore lives apart.
And so, her mother raised her with love and with a warning: "He already has a family. Don't go searching for a place where you don't belong."
But destiny doesn't listen to warnings.
Now, she finds herself in the very house her mother once warned her never to enter. A place heavy with old wounds and buried truths. Among people who see her not for who she is, but for the past she represents.
To them, she is nothing more than a living echo of a mistake... a shadow of a history they'd rather forget. In this home, acceptance is a distant dream and survival may be the only thing she can hope for.
But sometimes, even a mistake can become the reason to heal something which is broken.
Born from a cruel twist of fate... Raised in silence. Can she mend the family which is on the verge of destruction?
