Whisper | Corpse x reader |

No one's p.o.v

(Y/n) stirred slightly in her sleep as she felt something being brushed through her hair which resulted in her to opening her eyes slightly as she came to the realization that she was still in hospital, but laying on someone. She was laying on the person's chest with one of their arms wrapped around her, she could tell straight away who it was.

The silence in the room was accomponied by the beeping sound of the machine's surrounding the bed. She slowly put my hand down onto Corpse's hand and he immediately turned his hand and interwined their fingers as he started to rub his thumb over her hand as he started to hum slightly.

Corpse continued to weave his finger through her hair softly, as if trying to get her to rest some more or to reassure her that he was there for her. (Y/n) then spoke up after a few minutes of neither of them talking, ''C-Corpse?'' She croaked out as he let out a hum of acknowledgement, ''Hmm?''

''H-How long was I asleep for?'' The girl asked, afraid of the answer, but trying to tell herself that it was probably only a few hours, not remembering what had happened prior to her falling into her deep slumber. The man stayed silent for a moment, as if debating on whether he should tell her or not, he quickly decided and told her, ''4 days.'' He answered simply.

(Y/n) was suprised, well that was an understatement, she didn't know why she was asleep for that long? Was she even awake? Was she still sleeping and was it all a dream? ''How?'' She asked, wanting an answer straight away as she looked up at him slightly, which caused the man to sigh slightly as he sat up with her carefully and gave her a soft kiss on her forehead.

''The doctor's gave you a scan after you came to the hospital.'' he started, ''Turns out, in another part of your brain, a tumoour had started growing a few months ago, that's why you got hypertension and passing out and other symptoms. The night before hand, you agreed to another surgery, you knew the risks, yet you wanted it still. It lasted all morning and the doctors said your body would need time to heal, so they put you in a medically induced coma.'' He explained.

(Y/n) stayed quiet as she took the information in, medically induced coma? So that explains why she was out for 4 days, ''Where are Sean and Felix?'' She asked as she looked around slightly, Corpse pushed her head back down gently as he told her, ''They had to fly back 3 days ago because of the virus, flights are being cancelled so they won't be able to make it for Christmas. But they call every few hours to check up on you.'' He answered.

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

I nodded as Corpse then told me, ''I'm gonna get a doctor.'' As he carefully helped me get off of him and lay me down on the bed and then quickly left the room. I lay there as I rubbed my eyes and adjusted my position slightly to get more comfortable as I waited, looking around the room to pass the time.

I looked to my side and saw my charging phone sitting there, I unplugged it and turned it on, but quickly regretted it as the brightness burned my eyes. I winced as I quickly turned the brightness down and dialed a number, laying down as I put the phone to my ear as I let the phone ring for a few seconds.

ring ring....

ring-

''Hello? Corpse? ''

''Sean..''

''(Y/n)?! You're awake? ''

''Y-Yup, suprise?''

''Ah, we were waiting for this exact phone call, right Felix? ''

A distant ''Yup'' could be heard in the background as I giggled softly, trying to not use my voice too much.

''Well how are you? When did you wake up? ''

''Around 10 m-minutes ago, and I'm g-good for now, just tired.''

''After 4 days of sleep, damn.'' He joked, which caused me to crack a smile.''Is Corpse there with you? ''

''Not right now, he just went to get a d-doctor.''

''We're sorry we had to leave before you woke up, the country-''

''I-I know Sean, it's fine, really.''

''Okay.  I promise to make it up to you when the lockdown ends.''

''Fine by me. I've gotta go now, the doctor just came, I'll talk to you later, love you.''

''I'll check up on you again soon, love you too, bye.''

I quickly ended the call and put my phone on my stomach as Corpse came back with the doctor, he came over and sat by the bed as he pulled his mask off. The doctor wore a mask, but it could be seen that he was smiling as he held a clipboard, ''Miss (L/n) How are you feeling?'' He asked as I gave a small smile back as I told him, ''I'm okay, just tired and a headache.'' I answered as he wrote that down. 

''Don't worry, we will perscribe you some medicine to help your body deal with the after affects of surgery and the removal of the tumour. We are to believe that we may have reduced the chances of getting another tumour, by a significant amount. If there are no worrying symptoms by tomorrow afternoon, you will be free to release. However, you will have to have weekly check ups with your doctor for the time being.'' The doctor explained before he wrote down a few more notes and left.

After the doctor left, a nurse came in to check my blood pressure and temperature, after she made sure everything was fine, she left Corpse and I alone.  ''Hey Corpse?'' I asked, waiting for a response as I sat up, being offered help, but refusing in the end as I did it myself, ''What's up?'' he asked.

''How long have you been here?'' I asked as we interwined hands, something we have become accustomed to, ''I actually never left apart from getting the things I need.'' He admitted. ''Oh.'' I said, slighty suprised that he stayed the whole time, he chuckled slightly as he said, ''I'd never leave you alone, mi querida (my darling)'' He told me as he kissed the top of my hand lightly.

''Huh? I don't speak spanish?'' I told him slightly confused at the last part of what he said as I felt my cheeks heat up from the small gesture. He laughed slightly before he spoke in spanish again, ''No te preocupes por eso mi amor.'' (dont worry about it my love) I looked even more confused as I told him, ''Okay.'' I laughed slightly as he joined in, ''Significas mucho para mi, nunca te dejarę ir.'' (you mean so much to me, I'm never letting you go.) Corpse smiled softly.

''I'm not letting you go either, mi amor.'' (my love)

Plot twist (Y/n) actaually knew spanish. But it's all good now, and I might end the book near enough 27-35 chapter and like add some one shots at the end or something. But I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. Also I haven't finished the Dream X reader, I'm just focussing on this book for now <3
