It's been a month since I had last seen Luke.

I presume Luke dropped out of school. Along with all the missing posters that I see around town, it is safe to say that Luke also still hasn't returned home. The last time I was at his house was a week ago when I went to have dinner with his parents with Granny. It took so much in me to not tell his parents that I knew where their son was.

It was also an easy month of me getting over him. I was still in love with him but I was more mad instead. I get that his future with band will be more important than me but to be nothing to him? It hurts.

I still hung out with Alex, Reggie, and Bobby at times but seeing their faces reminded me too much of Luke that I had to distance myself from them. I was alone for a while but the internship list came out and my name was right at the top along with five other names of students that I knew little of just from having classes with them. They were a strange group of individuals but we bonded over our late nights at the hospital and our complaints of not being paid to do all of this.

Granny helped a lot with my healing process. Though I appeared okay at school, I had a lot of trouble sleeping especially when the smell of Luke was still apparent on his hoodie. She hid it from me when she found me on the corner of bed with bloodshot eyes with his hoodie in my arms. I really did miss him but he put it out there already that I was no use to him.

I knew that I was being overdramatic but Luke made a huge impact in my life.

It was lunch when I walked out to see the five of them sat underneath a tree, fighting over the last McDonalds french fry that laid in the middle of them.

"To think about it, I'm older than all of you." Ty reached out for it but Bradley whacked his hand," Is the pink hair dye sinking into your brain, you're the youngest out of all of us idiot."

Ty rubbed the knuckle of his hand and looked up at me when I stepped on a branch that made a loud crack," Oh hey number 1." . I rolled my eyes and popped the french fry into my mouth as I sat besides Mike, placing a hand on his shoulder to help me down. "And sitting down to number 2 I see." He whistled, earning a hit from Rue. " Okay seriously, I will report all of you for abusing me too much."

"Your stupidity is really contagious, we're just trying to keep it at a low." Bradley rubbed Ty's non-existent hair, Ty falling onto Bradley's lap in agony.

Teo handed me a sandwich that they had saved for before biting into her own. Just as I was about to take a bite out of it, a bag of grapes landed on my lap. Mike quickly brought his hand back to push up his black framed glasses, his eyes looked everywhere but me.

I lightly smiled at the kind gesture. I wasn't blind. I knew that he harbored a crush on me way before Rue told me that he did. But I didn't want to start something knowing that I wasn't going to be 100% in it. Just as I opened the ziploc, a pair of air maxs and boots made their appearance besides me.

Alex and Reggie nervously looked at me then to the others then back at me," Y/N, can we ask you about something?"

Man, I just sat down.

With a pout, I nodded and got onto my feet, leaving my food on my backpack. Pardoning myself from the group, the three of us walked off to the side, " What's up? Why are the both of you so tense?"

"Your friends are scary." Reggie pointed. The group of five were on the knees with their eyes squinted to look at us. They weren't suspicious because they know of all the drama that went down and that I was really good friends with the boys, they were just really nosy people.

"They couldn't hurt a fly, don't worry Reg."

"But they can do surgery on you."

"All we've done so far is wipe butts."
