The limo pulled to the hotel and one by one, we all got out. Reggie held his hand out for me as we took in the decorations that were set up. But to me, the magic wasn't fully here without Luke.

Rue popped besides me and linked arms," So are we just going to ignore how walked in on an almost kiss between you and your renter?"

" He's not even paying us."

" Right because he's paying you with love."

"Rue, it's not like that."

"Cmon, Y/N, just give him another chance."

I rubbed my arms from the breeze that passed through as Rue gave me a look to tell just to do it. Alex and Reggie ran past us with Bobby falling shortly behind. "Let's go, Y/N!" They chanted as they raced to the front with their tickets in hand. I watched as he drifted off to Amy who stood with Samantha and the rest of the cheer squad. So they really are a thing now.

Amy sent me a small smile as we passed. It threw me off but I sent one back before Rue and I went hand and hand into the room that was blasting Duran Duran.

"It's not too late to go back to him, you know that right? The limo is still parked in the front." Rue rubbed my shoulder before walking off with Teo onto the dance floor. Luke and I did leave it on an awkward note with our two almost kisses. Maybe I should go back and check on him especially since he was all by himself.

The exit was only two steps away.

Backing up, I was ready to turn to go home but Reggie ran over and pulled me towards the dance floor," Oh don't be a party pooper!". He hopped up and down to the beat of the music. He continued to move my arms up and down until I finally joined in. Rue and Teo danced around us, our hands interlocking with one and another. Bradley and Ty were a bit timid about dancing with the boys but Alex found his way in the middle of us to shake his butt which completely shook off their nerves with Ty joining Alex.. I'm glad to see that they were finally getting along.

Though I tried to be all in tonight, with the thought of Luke stuck in my head, I struggled.

In the midst of clapping along, Mike popped up besides me and took my hand from Reggie that was still in mine. It started out as dancing but he slowly started to pull us off to the side. We were by the punch bowl when I realized how far we were straying away from the group. I stopped walking to signal to Mike to stop moving with the crowd.

He turned around with a look to ask me what's wrong before I motioned to the people that were still behind us.

" Oh, I mean every since we got here, we haven't got the time to be ourselves so I thought we could have some alone time?"

"Alone time? Mike, we're here as friends so we should be with friends."

I pulled my hand out of his grip as I downed a cup of punch that were laid out. I didn't know if I would have to start yelling because Mike's response may be something I like or something I don't.

"You're still in love with him, aren't you?"

Oh gosh, did Teo and Rue already snitch on me housing him?

"Because if you weren't, then you would just let me in by then. I've tried for a month and you're not being truthful with me about your own feelings. So do you like me or not?"

"You really are being an ass right now."

"Well excuse me if I feel like I'm being lead on right now. See you can't even answer the question-"

"Mike, I've told you multiple times that I only like you as a friend." I began to pick at the skin above my elbow, my anxiety kicking in from both the confrontation and the million of questions that Mike had piled up for me. "I'm sure I made it clear through my actions and the million times that I told you I'm not ready for another relationship."
