Dream declared war.

And it didn't sit right with you at all.

Your life has always been so peaceful and quiet, you had never experienced anything like this. So of course, as everyone was discussing what to do next regarding this information, you were panicking.

You were outside, sitting by a river close to the van. Everyone else was inside discussing, but you didn't want to hear the debate.

Time was lost as you sat on the grass. You felt cold, and hugged yourself for warmth. Even though you could step inside the van to get warm, you didn't wish to be reminded of the war.

You had no idea if you had to participate in the war, you didn't even know what to do. You just wanted things to be happy, like how they were back at home.

The sounds of footsteps could be heard coming up behind you, and you turned to see who it was.

"Oh-.. Hello, Tommy."

"(Y/N), it's like- cold as shit out here! Why don't you head inside?"

A wave of sadness hit your face as you shifted back, facing the river.

"I didn't want to hear about the war."

Tommy grows saddened at your response, deciding to sit next to you.

"Are you nervous?"

"Scared, Tommy. I've never been in a war, and I don't even know what to do.."

"I..-"

He sighs, trying to think of what to say. He wasn't the best at comfort, but he did have a heart. He patted your shoulder, as he looked out to the river.

"It'll be okay. I know it will be, because even if we haven't known you for long.. we consider you a friend."

"I've only been here for just a couple days.."

"Still doesn't change anything. What I mean is, we have your back. We've got each other's backs, and we can stand strong against Dream together. That's what I believe L'manburg stands for."

You smiled at his words, and wiped the corners of your eyes before any tears spilled.

"And you know what?"

"What?"

"If you're too scared to fight, then you can be behind me. I'll protect you."

This took you by surprise.

"...Really?"

"Hell yeah! You're my friend now (Y/N), a good friend at that. I think I speak for everyone when I say that you shouldn't be pressured into war since you're so new, you know?"

You smile at Tommy, deciding to get up. He gets up as well, but was then pulled into a hug by you.

"Thank you, Tommy..! I'll do what I can to help you guys out."
