"Todoroki's Fate"

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

Rei: Yes, come in, you two.

The door to Rei Todoroki's hospital room swings open. She turns around from her view out of the window, and smiles as she sees her two children, Natsuo and Fuyumi. The two smile at their mother, and she smiles back.

Despite everything that the Todoroki family had gone through; the "loss" of a dear member of their family; through everything that Endeavor had done... the three only continue to smile despite the circumstances.

Fuyumi: Good morning, Mother.

Natsuo: Hey, Mom. We brought you chocolate — your favorite!

Rei: How sweet. Thank you, you two.

Natsuo happily puts the basket full of sweets on Rei's desk. Fuyumi walks over to her mother, and sees all of the letters she has received inside of her drawer.

Fuyumi: You seem to have receieved a lot of letters, Mother. I hope you've read some of mine!

Rei: *Cough* *Cough* Believe me, dear... I've read every last one of your letters, and I can't help but smile and cry after reading what you three have done with your lives. Your letters make me feel, somehow... that your father and I have raised you all well.

Natsuo: Pshh... You can take all the credit in that regard, Mom.

Fuyumi: Natsuo...

Natsuo: Come on, Sis. You know it's true.

Rei: Ahahaha... It really is okay. I understand if... you two still have some resentment over your father.

Fuyumi: Haha... It's just Natsuo, Mother. Honestly, I feel like he just uses Father as an excuse to act the way he does.

Natsuo: No, I don't!

Fuyumi: Oh, yeah? Then when was the last time you wrote a letter for Mother?

Natsuo: Hey, I write! But... not... recently, recently...?

Fuyumi: See? Now, don't talk ill about Father when you're just as bad!

Natsuo: Man, you're such a bully sometimes, Fuyu...

Rei giggles at the squabbling of her children, causing both Fuyumi and Natsuo to laugh in return. Only by Rei's sudden coughing and hacking do they all stop the laughter.

Fuyumi: Mother...?!

Natsuo: M-Mom, you good?

Rei: *Cough* I-It's nothing, honeys. It's just the weather's been quite rough lately. I think I might've caught a fever.

Natsuo: Man, speaking of the rain...

Fuyumi: We're lucky that I saw Natsuo at the train station when I did. I think that some of the trains were delayed because of just how hard the rain was.

Natsuo: Man, why do trains get delayed just because of some water?

Fuyumi: We couldn't seem to text the receptionist. All phone lines are down, apparently.

Rei: I guess that's why nobody came up to my room to relay a message from Shoto.

Fuyumi: You know, speaking of Shoto, I notice that you've gotten a lot of letters, Mother.

Natsuo: Shoto always has been a fan of traditional letters, but that seems like an excessive amount of letters.

Rei: Oh, these? Ahaha... Yes, Shoto has been writing to me more frequently; however, these letters aren't just from Shoto. They're from your father.
