Natsuo looks at the letters that Rei is holding in slight surprise.
Fuyumi: Father has been writing letters for you?
Rei: Why, yes, and they make me ever so happy. He writes little stories about what has happened to him throughout the day, and things about his journey in becoming the number one hero.
Of course, he isn't really... the best in conveying his feelings through words, but I can really tell that he genuinely tries to make up for what he's done in the past. He's written to me every single day, without missing a beat.
He writes every letter at the end of the night, and I receive them by morning. Reading these letters every morning alongside breakfast really makes every single one of my mornings.
Fuyumi: How sweet. Who would've know that Father had such a sentimental side to him?
Rei: Here, do you want to read the one he sent this morning?
Rei hands Fuyumi a neatly sealed envelope. Fuyumi opens the envelope, and notices the scent of her mother's perfume sprayed on the letter.
Fuyumi: *Sniff* This is...
Rei: Yes, it was mine before I was sent away. Your father has still kept it after all of these years.
Fuyumi reads the note, and Natsuo sneaks up behind her to read as well. Even though Endeavor's handwriting isn't the best, the letter still clearly had a lot of thought and feeling written on it.
"Dearest Rei,
Greetings, once again, dearest. Did you receive the flowers I sent you? Today, a peculiar woman from an agency in Tokyo appeared, and offered me a job concerning the recent weather. She claimed that the weather was an utter, complete anomaly, and that they had a lead as to why it was this way. Seeing this, I declined the job offer, as I told her that the rain would stop naturally. She stormed out of the Endeavor Agency with the rest of her crew.
Anyways, enough about work. How have you been recently? I understand that the hospital bills can be quite difficult to pay, but I assure you, I am trying my hardest to give you the luxurious life that you deserved. I apologize that I haven't been seeing you as much lately. I've just been so caught up with work, and my partner, Hawks, isn't really helping all that much. All he really does is sit around, and look pretty. I really don't see how he became the No. 3 Hero.
I met up with Shoto at U.A. today. He is all well, and I even ate breakfast with him! I wish he could see how much I love him because it seems like he still resents me for what I've done, but it is for a good reason. Shoto introduced me to his girlfriend as well. She was a wonderful young woman. She was tall, beautiful and talkative. She reminds me of us when we were younger. I can't wait for you to meet her. I wish I could've talked to her more, but she and Shoto left me when I was talking with All Might.
Speaking of All Might, I think my relationship with him is improving. Apparently, all I had to do was treat him as an equal, and now we're close friends. We were actually planning a trip to Tokyo with the old gang, but after thinking about it, I decided not to go. We were planning to go to a brothel, but it made me think about you. Now that I have you, I don't want to return to that lustful life that I once had. You truly are the only woman for me!
I promise to visit sometime soon, dearest. When you're finally well again, let's go to the restaurant where we had our first date. We can even bring Shoto, Natsuo and Fuyumi, and eat out as one whole family. I am really looking forward to doing that with you. I have plans tomorrow, so I'm going to cut my letter short for tonight. Please, be safe, Rei. I love you, and our family too much for you to leave me. I hope this letter finds you well.
-Love, Enji."
