it's such a gloomy , rainy cold day . so me and vinnie cancelled our plans.
he's been on his ps5 and he's been editing his youtube video. i'm just laying in our shared bed i have a cold and i am cold, but i haven't told him that so he doesn't smother me and worry about me, i'm literally fine, it's just a blocked nose , but he won't take it that way.
he's in the shower. so i bury myself under the covers, trying to make myself comfortable so i can sleep, but no position is comfortable enough for me to sleep in.
vinnie comes out the shower wearing joggers but no t-shirt. he climbs into our bed and immediately cuddles me. i feel the warmth of his body temperature over take mine , and i relax warming myself up in his arms.
"baby you feel really cold are you okay" he asks me concerned
"yeah i'm fine vin , i'm just cold that's all"
he trusts what i said . but shortly after i sneeze and he asks me immediately if i'm sick.
"baby, are you sick? i heard you sneeze"
"no , i'm fine vin" i say with a slightly sore throat
"uh uh you're sick y/n"
"i just have a cold it's not a big deal"
"baby you could've told me and i'd have looked after you properly"
"it's fine. i'm fine vin"
"no, it's my job to look after you, so i will. what do you need baby , talk to me."
"please vinnie i'm fine dont stress."
"please let me know if you're feeling worse , okay?"
"mhm. just hold me please"
we sleep for a bit but i'm immediately woken up by a pounding headache.
"vinnie"
"hmm" he hums
"did i wake you?"
"no i've been awake for a bit, what's wrong baby?"
"i have a bad headache"
"let me go get you some medicine and a water, do you want any food?"
"no it's alright i'm not hungry"
"i'll be right back" he kisses my head
he lays a kiss on my head and carefully get out of the covers making sure he doesn't make me cold. It's kinda weird because i'm uncomfortably warm now, sweat beads start to form on my forehead, so i flip the covers off of me and i just lay there.
shortly vinnie re-enters the room with medicine and a bottled water.
i sit up a bit but i stop at vinnie's command.
"oh no baby , let me come help you "
"thanks vin" i smiled weakly
"you're sweating" he looks at me concerned
"i'm just a bit hot"
"alright here , take" he says giving me the medicine and water.
"i'll call the doctors for you and we'll go first thing tomorrow"
"its really not a bi-"i begin
"uh uh , you're sick and we need to get to the bottom of it" he hums.
he gets back into bed under the covers, and we lay there in a comfortable silence for a while. i start to shuffle around a bit looking for a comfortable position and vinnie has already sensed my movements and begins to worry again.
"are you alright, what is it you need baby?"
"nothing vin, please just hold me"
he holds me tightly with his arms under my t-shirt drawing gentle patterns on my stomach. and with that we both drift into a deep, calming sleep...

ok this was cute. i love you guys thank you for 40k,41k and 42k+ reads, i can't tell you guys how much i appreciate all the support. it's been nearly 4 or so months since i joined this app, and we are already at 40k+ reads , i never even had the intention to write a book , but i did because i wanted to try the experience, i never expected all this support and kindness , i really do love all of you guys !!
