"Mama? Are you okei?" Damien asked as I slipped past buildings.

"Yeah kiddo. I'm fine. The interview was just a little hard."

"Mama, are we going to your jobs?" Misty asked. I had just approached the freeway, and a surprisingly large amount of cars were going by. Must be trying to escape this disgusting city.

"If you guys want to." I said, smiling as they both got excited. I stared forward through the freeway. From the other side you can see the state capital city, which is where I usually go to accept jobs. With the large number of cars, my crossing would have to be quick and precise to not get hit. It would be a little harder to move freely with two kids and a backpack.

I inhaled deeply and adjusted both kids, then made a run for it. I sped in front, around, and behind cars, having to jump on a couple or slide under others. The asphalt is gonna leave my skin scratched up for days. The sounds of tires screeching and horns blaring was almost as loud as my heart beating as the adrenaline rushed through me. I nearly got hit multiple times and some people tried to run me over on purpose. It felt like mere seconds when I reached the other end of the road. Surprisingly enough, when I turned back there were no severe accidents, just a couple busted up cars after hitting another or stopping abruptly. After making sure nothing was set on fire I darted down the hill before the angry drivers noticed me.

Once I was clear I set the twins down and they walked on both my sides as we strutted loud and proud through this abandoned waste town. It basically looked like the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, just less people running around and screaming and more contaminated-looking plants molding over random buildings.

A pro to the world being like this, is every night you can see the stars much more bright and clear than you would before, since most of the building lights don't work and people turn off their lights at night to not attract unwanted guests.

I took them up to the alleyway in between an empty warehouse and a cheap run-down apartment. I slipped into the warehouse and set both infants on a crate.

"Are we waiting for mister Rebel, mama?" Misty looked up at me with curious eyes.

"Yes, unfortunately." I sighed. I looked over at Misty and Damien staring up at me with wide, innocent eyes. I smiled a little. I didn't want these two to grow up, and lose that sweet baby spark like the quads did. They were just too sweet-

... Welp, that moment was ruined.

Insert dramatic door slamming sound.

"HEY HOW'S MY FAVORITE EDGY BITCH DOIN'?!" That voice that can cause suicide shouted, echoing throughout the empty warehouse.

Honestly I didn't think I could groan as much as I do whenever this whore pops up.

Damien didn't seem to mind though, as he stretched his hands out and excitedly giggled. "Mister Rebel!"

Rebel happily bounced over and scooped Damien up, swinging him around. "That's uncle Rebel to you sir."

"Since when did you uncle my kids?" I glared at him. He looked at me with a snarky face.

"Ever since I let them blow up a drug store. How can you be a fun uncle without letting the kids do something illegal?"

"For one," I walked over and snatched Damien out of his arms. "It's called a pharmacy. For two, I raised my kids in hope that they wouldn't become arsonists. And here you are ruining that."

The by-god irritating 15 year old in front of me shrugged. His magenta eyes widened and he tried giving me his baby face. Hah! Jokes on him, I don't fall for his seduction.
