Glorybringer~ I don't need a bodyguard

Glory's POV

Deathbringer had invited me to a date out here by the clearing where we first kissed. The sun was setting, setting a soft dusty rose color in the sky. I heard the last song of the tropical birds before they slept, and in place, heard the soft chirp of the crickets.

When I arrived I saw Deathbringer on a blanket that we would normally use for hammocks. He had a basket filled with my favorite fruits: strawberries, mangos, and pineapples. Since the date was on a cliff, there was a sandy ocean under us.

"Hey." He said giving me a smile. "Hi." I responded, then sat down. It was just a little bit awkward, since the whole Mockingbird thing had happened. "You look-well-beautiful." He said looking into my eyes. "Thanks..." I said, blushing a little bit.

"Here." He said giving me the fruit filled basket. There was a short pause before I took the fruit out of the basket. There was a little note on the bottom, it said Glory, you are so awesomely beautiful and smart, will you be my mate? I looked up at him with an eyebrow raised because of how 'romantic' this note was.

He was hold up a ring. "Of course I'm going to say yes." I said rolling my eyes. Then I leaned in close to kiss Deathbringer but he dodged it and pushed me in the ocean. "DEATHBRINGER!! I AM GOING TO GET YOU FOR THIS!!!" I yelled spitting out a mouthful of water.

Then he walked away. So he's going to propose and just abandon me AFTER throwing me in water? I thought swimming back to shore. Then I heard him yell, "CANON BALLLLL!" I gasped. "NO! Deathbringer..." I yelled, ready to get splashed.

When he jumped in, he made the biggest wave I have ever seen, and it pushed me under. When I resurfaced, I gave him my signature glare. "Sorry, just couldn't pass up the opportunity." He said with a small smile and a shrug. I splashed him with water and started laughing.

"OH YOU'RE IN FOR IT!!" He said in return. He went under the water, and not too long after, I felt talons wrap around my ankles and pull me under the water. It was definitely Deathbringer, but he was pulling me to shore instead under the water.

When we got to the shallow part where I could stand on my hind legs, he let go and came back up. "DEATHBRINGER!" I said annoyed, but I knew he was just playing with me. So it was my turn to go under the water. Except this time, you guessed it, I kissed him.
