"I know that you're unstable."
The wind blew his luscious black locks back, revealing his black orbs that were locked to my lips.
"But I just can't help myself..."
He gently tilted my chin up and leaned in, sealing our lips together.
"I love you...
Asher busted open the door and slid into the room. I tilted my head in confusion as I thought I'll be the only one here for the hour. He glanced at me and shot me some silly finger guns. Plopping himself on the expensive leather couch with ease. I looked back at Trisha. She seemed angry that Asher interrupted her moment. Apparently, Asher caught her stare and sat up. Stepping back, I went to pour myself another cup of coffee. And watched the little interaction with amusement.
Asher glanced at me, I flinched. Hiding behind the couch, I couldn't get his death stare out of my head. I poked my head out to see the girl hold onto her external expression. But she was really scared to death on the inside. How could Asher's cheerily self be this scary? I wouldn't have hired him if I did know. Okay, maybe I would, just with a few exceptions...
"Do you have any problems with me? That you'll want to address? Cause I'm sure. By the looks of it, you don't own this building. So that means I get to walk in whenever I like. Deal with it."
Asher walked up to Aiko and drag her out of the chair. Then he headed towards me to drag me off the couch. I pouted as he left the uneaten cookies alone on the couch. He probably saw that I was upset. Because he walked back into that room to grab the rest of my cookies.
He gave me a small smile and handed me the rest of the packaged cookies. Taking the cookies out of hand, I reached into my pockets to get my phone. Fidgeting with the electronic for a while, I finally dialed a current number.
"Hey." I greeted, still munching on the chocolate chip cookie, "Yea. I would like a replacement-"
I huffed out as Asher snatched the phone out of my hands. To talk to the person that was in charge of the women. Aiko looked at me. Worried about Asher's current behavior. I gave her a look of reassurance and patted her head. She smiled, giving me a big hug in return. I chuckled nervously and slowly warmed my hands around her.
"Yea. We don't need a replacement any more. Yeah, We got this handle. You should really think about...no, no, no. Don't fire her. It was just an incident. Let's just hope she won't do it ever again. Okay, thank the man. Bye."
At least Asher's back to his caring old self again.
His mouth was agape as he saw me shot him a closed eye smile. He was stunned. It wasn't every day. You could see the number one hero of Europe genuinely enjoyed herself. He hesitates to hand me back the phone, in fear that the smile would suddenly disappear. But as his boss, he knew he could do nothing about it. Expect to remember this moment and tease me later.
"That took you long enough."
"Ah, sorry. I was captivated by that pretty smile of yours. You should smile more often. You look nice."
I shook my head, "You should like you have a total crush on me." I glanced up at his heated face, "Do you?"
"No-You know what, I have things to work. Yeah! Work. I have to work on things. It's a beautiful morning. Nice to see you here!"
"Asher, I'm your boss. I'm here every day. And it's evening!" I giggled in amusement and continued to make my way to my office.
"He has a crush on you."
I jumped back. I have completed forgotten that Aiko was still with me. I shook my head and sighed. Unlocking the door, I signaled her to come in. She bowed her head and entered. Closing the door behind me, I walked towards the table and chair I usually do my work on.
"It's just a schoolboy crush. He'll get over it soon. Aiko, can you sort through my emails. They are terribly organized. Just put them from the most important to the least important. If anything seems urgent just tell me. Usually, Ingrid does this, but she's pretty hectic today."
She nodded and started sorting away on the black leather couch. Sighing, I took an I finished paperwork from its stack and started filling the information in. Putting the already completed paperwork into a file in the drawer. I started on another one, boringly filling out more unimportant questions.
"Miss, you got something."
I peeked up. Anything is better than paperwork, walking up behind her. She handed me the opened email, scanning through the email. I smiled and gave her back her laptop.
"Send an email back to UA. And tell them that I'll accept their offer."
