( Ran out of GIF that would actually make sense in the chapter. So Midnight is substitute ! Anyway's this Part two of the previous chapter. It's still a flashback ^^)

He was taken aback by my question. I cocked a brow at him, pushing him to answer my questions. I watched as he clenched his fist, then releasing it. He repeated that a few more times. I could see that all the anger and sadness he was feeling were falling down, pressing hard onto his chest. It was at this moment that I hoped he would just step away from the edge.

I flinched. He looked down at the ambulances that were still not prepared to catch him. I sighed as he didn't make another move. I could feel the eyes of those heroes on me. Wondering what I'll do next. By this time, I was soaking wet. My hair was a mess. I was pretty sure I was going to catch a cold really soon. I grunted and sat down on the cold concrete. Surprising the lad. I went on and watched the puddle in the roof become bigger and bigger.

"You're not going to stop me?"

I hummed as I tiled my head, actually confused about what he was talking about. I was not going to make a more. My legs were already tired from running up those sets of stairs. And I just finished lunch. I didn't want to puke them out so quickly. That was ten dollars off my paycheck.

He furrowed his brows. In confusion as he glanced at me. Like I was the one acting bizarre. I mean, he was the one standing on the edge of the roof right now. At least I was mentally well. I just shook my head as I held eye contact with him. Either of us didn't dare to move or say anything. It was just the sound of rain dropping onto the floor. The lad was confused, very confused. Why did I come there to save him then?

"Are you not going to save me?" He frowned as he placed a leg over the roof, hanging it there, "What would you do if I jumped off?"

"I'll do nothing." I hummed and nodded, agreeing to myself, "Nothing at all..."

That made the male angry, fuming even. He walked away from the edge and he came a bit closer to me. His held an expression of anger and frustration. He then groaned, walking back to his original spot before plopping down to sit on the edge. Staring at me with hatred. I was having fun. It's been a while since I had a staring contest with someone. So far, I was winning by three points. Totally forgetting what I was here for in the first place.

"You blinked."

He frowned at me, registering what I had just said. He cocked a brow at me, still clearly frustrated, "What?!"

I hummed, "You blinked. So, I won." He glanced at me, thinking of how stupid I was. Which I just ignored, "You want to know why I won't do anything?"

He frowned. But still curious, "Why."

I stared into his lavender hues, freaking him out, "Because you're afraid of Death." I stood up, dusting my hands, "I saw it in your eyes. Even if you wouldn't admit it. You're scare, little man. The clenching and unclenching of your hands. You're shaking now." I smiled, "Don't you think so yourself?"
