"I can't believe it! You're actually going away!" (F/n) told you over the phone.
"Yeah, it's gonna take time getting used to, but I'm ready!"
"Remind me again, why Gravity Falls?"
"Well my mom took a business trip to Oregon once and passed through it; she said the vibe was super sweet...and it's a small town, so you know I'm down for that!"
"That's so random, geez."
"I know, I know! I'm super excited though, but kinda sad to be leaving you all behind..."
"Hey, we agreed you would come back for AT LEAST Christmas! And we can do video calls and that stuff. It will be weird without you around though."
"Yeah, I'm leaving you but like...I'm not leaving you...?"
"That's one way to put it, but you're right."(F/n) had been your best friend since middle school. They've been with you through all the good times, bad times, horrible relationships, and pretty much everything. You'd been telling them for years that after you were done with college, you were going far away to a small town to settle down. They never thought you would really do it, but here you were! You'd graduated from college and we're ready to finally get away from your hometown. You'd be leaving first thing tomorrow morning.
You were heading over to the Gravity Falls' Hospital's Psychiatric Department to work with people with various mental disorders. You were very into the science behind it all. Finding out what caused different illnesses and how to treat and even cure them is what you were really fond of. You were a psychiatrist in training, so you would be working to prescribe medication to patients, but you wouldn't necessarily have to council with them. You liked that, as you were rather introverted.
You were from a large city in Wisconsin, but always wanted to move to a small town far away. Big cities didn't suit you; they were too noisy and had too many people. Places where everyone knew everyone was where you wanted to be. And that's just where you would be moving to tomorrow...

You hit the snooze button on your alarm clock and opened your eyes. 'It's too early for this.' You thought. As you were about to go back to sleep, you remembered, "I'M MOVING TODAY!" A rush of adrenaline hit you as you sat up. Today was the day!You got up, showered, got dressed, then headed downstairs to get some breakfast.
"There they are!" Your mom announced as you entered the kitchen.
"Yep, here I am." You tiredly said; you added jazz hands for effect. Your dad brought you a plate of waffles and some orange juice.
"Thanks, dad!"
"Sure thing, kiddo." He smiled at you then sat down. He was a man of few words, but he loved you. He may have not said it a lot, but you could tell—especially today. Your mom was very vocal, and quite frankly, the complete opposite of your dad. He was laid back, introverted, and quiet. Your mother was energetic, extroverted, and loud. Very loud. Somehow they worked together perfectly."So, are you ready?" Your mom excitedly said. You gave an, "Are YOU ready?" in response.
Your parents laughed, then your mom spoke again. "No matter how much time you'd give us, we would never be ready." Your mom seems sadder now, reasonably.
"It's not like I'm leaving forever! I'll come home for Christmas!"
"Yes yes, it's still...difficult."
"Yeah I know," you took a bite of your waffle, "on a lighter note, these are some super great waffles!"
"Hey, it's no problem." Your dad replied. It was his sort of 'thank you.'After breakfast, you made sure you had everything you needed. You packed some last minute items—your toothbrush, hairbrush/comb, and phone charger. All the belongings you needed were packed into a suitcase with wheels, backpack, and small bag. You didn't bring all your possessions because you were taking multiple bus routes to Gravity Falls. You didn't have enough money for a plane ticket, and your car had gotten stolen in the past week. You figured busses would be fine; it would just be the start of your adventure and new life! You carried your luggage to the front door and set it all down. Going back to your room, you took one final look around it. It would be a long while before you'd be back.
