The afternoon sun was comfortably warm, and with the cool breeze, it wasn't too hot. With your stomachs full, Ford and you set off to find...something. He certainly was happy about what he would show you, you could tell. He seemed to have a permanent smile on his face. But what in the world he would show you, you had no clue.
Standing outside Greasy's Diner, Stanford began to speak, "We can start by heading back to the Shack. There's a nice trail out back that we can go down for a bit to get to the spot. Not that these creatures only inhabit one area of Gravity Falls, it's just most likely to find some there." He paused. "And some other guys. But, hopefully they'll stay out of my hair today."
You started walking, but had to ask, "...Are they dangerous?"
Ford cocked an eyebrow and pulled an annoyed face, "Neither of them are. I particularly enjoy the creature I am intentionally showing you; the other ones are ok—very neat, but they can be a handful."
"Oh, I see."The walk to The Mystery Shack didn't take too long, maybe 15 minutes; when you arrived, little to your knowledge, there was yet another new face waiting inside.
"Should we maybe let Stan know what we're doing?" You asked.
Ford shrugged, "I suppose it wouldn't hurt. He could come along if he wants to."
You followed Ford up to the door, and he opened it allowing you to enter first."After you~" He bowed and gestured into the interior.
"My, what a gentleman!" You joked, and strolled into the shack.Ford beamed as the door closed behind you. However, his joy was cut short by a loud crash of what seemed to be glass breaking. Your head whipped to the left just in time to see a white blur rush by your face. Stan, Soos, and an unfamiliar redhead were seen standing around the table. Stan and the redhead had ping pong paddles in their hands, while Soos was...well Soos was standing shirtless with a marker in his hand and score chart written on his chest. By the looks of it, Stan was winning.
For a moment, no one said anything. The two rooms just blankly stared at one another.
"Hey, Ford." Stan simply stated, as if nothing had just happened.
"Stanley. You seem to have broken that picture frame, I see." Ford said matter-of-factly.
"Huh." Stan peered to his right at a now broken picture that was dangling on the wall. "Would ya look at that."More silence ensued.
"Hey, you must be (Y/n)! Stan told me about you!" The redhead spoke up, breaking the silence.
"O-oh, yeah. That's me."
"I'm Wendy; you'll be seeing me around. I kinda work here. But! I just remembered a very important thing Soos and I have to do. Away from here. Right now."Soos looked confused. "An important thing? Now?"
"Yeah! You know..that.....thing we have to do." Wendy punched Soos.
"OH! Right! THAT thing. That thing we have to get to doing. Totally a very important thing that isn't actually not a thing. Can't miss it!"
"We'll be seeing you guys!"Wendy and Soos quickly left, and you could see them running away out the window.
"Must be a pretty important thing." You said, nudging Stanford.
He chuckled shortly, "Very."Stan spoke after a moment, "Ehh, sorry about the glass. I'll clean it up."
"Ah, it's no big deal." Ford replied.Stan fetched a dustpan and broom and started sweeping. "How'd you like the town, (Y/n)?"
"Oh it's wonderful! I met all kinds of nice people! I really think I'm going to enjoy it here."
"Hey that's good! I know you'll like it here; it's great! I hope my brother's not giving you any trouble."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Ford asked with a grin.
"It means you're known to get into weird stuff sometimes. I don't want you scaring (Y/n) away on their first real day here."
Ford scoffed. "Don't be ridiculous, I wouldn't do anything crazy just yet."
"Pfft, yet."
