She's a Runner

Annabelle's POV:

The plan is currently in action.

Fry's on top of us, Brenda's in a bus, and Gally, Sonya, Thomas, Newt, and I are all posing as guards.

Thomas, Newt, and I pretend to escort Teresa, and the others join with us on the floor where she said Minho would be.

Once we're alone, on the way down the stairs, I have a slight coughing fit, but Newt helps me out of it.

I'm deteriorating at a much faster rate than him, since my infection origin is literally at my neck.

Gally opens rooms, revealing groups of preteen or teenage children.

"Belle. Check the next one" he yells at me, while checking rooms for Minho.

I do so, but still, Minho is nowhere to be found.

"Where is he?" I yell at Teresa.

She rushes over to the computer.

"Somebody's moved him up to the medical wing. Anna, that's on the other side of the building." she tells me.

"Stop calling me that, and take me to him." I demand. "Right now"

"All right." she responds.

"I'm coming with you" says Newt.

"Belle, you and Newt should stay. Wait with Gally for the Serum. I'll go get Minho" says Thomas, referring to me and Newt's state.

"You can't do this on your own." Newt says.

"Minho comes first, remember?" I add.

"Just go. We're wasting time. I'll get the serum. We'll meet you out back." Gally says.

We nod and go after Gally wishes us luck.

I basically drag Teresa by the hand.

We make it to an elevator, but right when the door's about to close, a hand stops it.

"Hold it."

Goddammit it's Janson.

"You're working late. See, that's what I like about you, Teresa. No matter how bleak things get, you just... Well, you never give up." he starts going.

"Times like this, you need a friend that you can count on." she replies.

Jesus Christ how long is this elevator ride gonna be? This is supposed to be high tech.

"I'll bear that in mind. There is one thing you should know, one friend to another. Annabelle is here."

Shit.

"A surveillance picked her up outside the walls. Ava didn't want you to know, but she may try to contact you, and if she does, I'd like to think that I'd be your first call." he says.

"Are you going to kill her?" she asks.

"Would that be a problem?"

YES. It would.

"This is me." says Teresa, after the longest elevator ride of all time.

While walking, Teresa starts trying to get into Thomas' head.

"Thomas, you have to listen to me. Getting that serum won't save Newt or Anna. It might buy them some time, but—"

"Just ignore her. She's trying to get inside your head." I tell him, continuing to drag Teresa along.

"Thomas, listen. There's something about your blood I don't understand." she says, as we come up to a glass door.

"Open it." I demand, to which she listens and opens it.
