Stepping out of your room, you walked down the hallway. You waved to the receptionist lady who smiled and returned the gesture. You opened the door and took a step outside. You looked to either side of the door, but there were no twins. No matter, you would just wait for them. There was a bench next to the door, so you stood by it; it seemed like a reasonable spot to wait. There was no chance you would sit on it. Why would you? You've been sitting all day—standing was a good change. You laughed at the thought of sitting down. You pulled your phone out and checked the time. 7:19. "Hm." You sighed. A few minutes late wasn't a big deal. You slipped your phone into your pocket just as you were met with a cold gust of wind. You shivered. It may be summer, but it can get cold at night.
Suddenly, Stan and Ford emerged looking the same as they did before. Both smiling, they greeted you. "You're late." You joked
"Well that wouldn't have happened if this guy," Stan started, gesturing to Ford, "Didn't have the need to unpack his crazy journals and tell me all about a creature I only VAGUELY mentioned.""...a creature in a journal?" You were confused. Ford gave you a mischievous smile. "That's a story better off told in Gravity Falls!"
Still confused, you were about to question him further, but there was suddenly a cold gust of wind sweeping over you. It was the kind of wind that had the potential to make you lose your balance if you weren't steady. You shivered and put your hands on your arms to warm them up.
"You cold, (y/n)?" Ford asked.
"Yeah, a little. I'll be fine though."
Ford began taking off his jacket.
"No no no, you can keep your coat. I'm not THAT cold."
Just then, like it was mocking you, there was another cold wind.
"No I insist. Have it." He handed you his jacket, and at first you just looked at it. You sighed and put it on.
You half-smiled at him. "I guess chivalry's not dead?"
He chuckled. "No, no it is not."The jacket was almost too big for you. The sleeves were hanging just past your hands, and the bottom of the tan trench coat was almost dragging on the ground.
Ford laughed. "It's a bit big, but it works!"
You were slightly red-faced. It wasn't often that somebody gave their coat to you. And because of the jacket being so big, you felt small. Next to the twins who were easily a head taller than you, that didn't help either. (I guess if you're 6 foot, they'll only be a few inches taller than you. They're not freaking 7 feet tall oh gee)

The chosen restaurant to eat at was unlike anything you've been to before. You've heard about places like this, but have never actually been to one. The set up made it so your food was cooked right in front of you!Sitting down and waiting, you were kind of in a trance. You were seated in between the twins. Stan was to your right, and Ford was to your left. The menu was in front of you, but you weren't looking at it; you were too focused on watching the occasional food being prepared at other tables. It was rather impressive, actually. However, there was one thing you were not looking forward to: the fire. When cooking, there was the occasional flame that came from the activity. Fire didn't scare you as much as it used to; you'd gotten somewhat better at being around it now than in the past.
When you were 6, you were at a campfire with your family. You were roasting a marshmallow and sitting on your toes, kind of squatting down, when a family member called your name in the distance. You looked over, and while doing so, you lost your balance and almost fell straight into the pit. Fortunately, you were able to catch yourself by sticking your hand out. Unfortunately it was straight into the fire. You burned your arm on the metal rim of the fire pit, and messed up your right hand.
The pain is something you will never forget for as long as you live.
It was only a second degree burn, and thankfully there wasn't irreversible damage. You ended up getting a scar in between your elbow and wrist from the rim, and your hand actually healed quite well. Yes, there was scarring, but it wasn't bad at all. At first, after the incident, you couldn't handle being anywhere near fire—understandably so. But after some time, the mental wound healed, and you were just careful around fire. It didn't cause any problems in your everyday life, and for the most part, you could be around it without any issues.
