"Jennie, do you need more flyers?" Mrs Kim asks as I walk up to the charity booth for the third time that morning. Mum had put Mrs Kim in charge of it. This is where most of the donations were made, and where mum had left the extra flyers.
"Yes, please. Can I also get a pack for Sohee? She has just arrived." I ask, stepping closer to the booth as I watch her get me the flyer packs.
"Here you go. Could you remind Irene we need landscape and portrait photos today?" She asks. I know for a fact that Irene already knows as I already heard her complain that Mrs Kim had already told her several times.
"Thank you. I'll tell her." I say, turning and walking away. That was the thing about Mrs Kim, she was always nice enough to us, yet it was those small digs that she gave, in a seemingly innocent way.
I walk around for a while, handing out flyers, watching as a few people drop a few coins into my bucket.
This charity event is an annual thing for our town. The whole town is covered in stalls, all of which selling different little trinkets. There were even signs up all over the place and banners hanging from lampposts.
"Thank you, hope you enjoy your day," I say, smiling as someone else drops coins into the bucket.
"Jennie?" I hear someone call, making me turn around. I see Sohee walking towards me, still in her work uniform.
"Hey, sorry my mum dragged you into this," I tell her.
"No, it's fine." She says.
"Well, here is a pack of flyers. You can walk around with me if you want?" I ask, smiling and handing out a flyer to a passing couple.
"Thank you, I have no idea what I am doing," She says, gratefully, taking her work top off to reveal a tank top below. Putting it in her bag she pulls out a jumper, throwing it on. I hand over an extra fluorescent jacket I have in my bag. She looks at it with her eyes brows raised before throwing it on.
"I know, they are awful," I comment, looking down at my own jacket in distaste.
"You can say that again." She says, making us both laugh.
We spend the next hour walking around, handing out flyers and talking amongst ourselves.
"There's Mino," Sohee says, indicating with her head towards the entrance to the line of stalls. I look over to see a group from the team including Mino, Seulgi, Lisa and Jisoo plus a few others.
"Thought he would have started by now," I mumble, both of us heading towards him.
"Hey," he says, as we approach. Sohee leans up and gives him a quick kiss before she stands beside me again.
I feel Jisoo's eyes on me, yet I still am slightly annoyed at her, making me refuse to meet her stare.
"Thought you were to start a while ago?" I ask, still smiling and handing out flyers.
"The game ran late. I was just heading over to mum now." He replies.
"Ok. Have you seen Irene?" I ask, turning back to him.
"No, not since this morning, why?"
"Just need to pass a message on," I reply.
"Ok. Well, I'll go get started." Mino says.
"I'll walk you over," Sohee says, yet looks at me, as if an after thought. I just laugh slightly, waving them off.
"Go, he needs someone to keep him from getting distracted." I tease, getting Sohee to laugh and Mino to roll his eyes.
