"Hey, Jen, mind if I join if you're looking for Irene?" Seulgi asks.
"Sure. Let's go." I says, handing out another leaflet, watching as the couple drop a few coins in.
"Thank you." I say to them with a smile.
I start walking off, past Jisoo, making sure I don't brush against her.
"Trouble in paradise?" Seulgi asks when we leave the stalls.
"What makes you think that?" I ask.
"You have the same look as Irene when you are having an internal debate with yourself." She says, looking over at me with concern.
That's all it takes for me to tell her about what Soojoo had said. She listens in silence, letting me get everything off my chest.
"Well?" I ask, wondering what she thought.
"I think that you two are making this harder on yourself by keeping it a secret." She says, not answering the question she knew I was asking.
"Seulgi, please?" I try again.
"I don't know. Nothing is simple about you two, and yes you have kept her informed of who knew, except for your dad of course..." She gives me a look before continuing, "but maybe she has a good reason for not telling you she told Soojoo?" She replies.
We walk in silence for a while longer. I watch the crowd getting bigger and bigger, now that it is lunch time.
"Why did I agree to this? I mean it's not like this is going to go anywhere!" I mumble, agitated at Jisoo.
"Because you like her." Is the reply I get. Simple and true. I don't even try and disagree.
"Finally. How was the game?" Irene asks, coming up beside us.
"We won, barely." She says, not as happy with this win as the others.
"Still won." She says, giving her a hug.
I watch her step back before saying, "Mrs Kim said to remember to take both landscape and portrait photos." I remind, glancing at the camera around her neck. She rolls her eyes, her expression taking on one of someone who was over being told something.
"Jesus, how many times is she going to tell me?" She asks, looking around as if Mrs Kim was going to show up all of a sudden.
"Likely until the end of the day," I comment, making us both laugh slightly.
Turns out I wasn't wrong, the next time I run into Irene is a few hours later and she comments that Mrs Kim has reminded her another two times about the photos.
After leaving Irene, mumbling about the photos, I head back towards the stall to hand the money in so I can take my break. I didn't get far, however, due to the fact that as I am walking past a deserted stall, I feel a hand grab my arm, pulling me behind it. I am about to scream out when I look up to see Jisoo, smiling down at me as she pulls me into the shadow of the stall, away from public eye.
"Jisoo! You scared me half to death!" I complain, nearly dropping the leaflets.
"Sorry." She says, not sounding sorry, before leaning down to kiss me. I feel her lips touch mine, reminding me of the fact that Soojoo knew. I freeze.
"What?" She asks, realising I wasn't kissing her back, pulling back.
"Nothing," I mumble, shaking my head slightly.
"No. Tell me." She says, wrapping her arms around my waist, pulling my body against hers.
"Really. It's nothing." I say again, knowing she wouldn't believe me.
