Chapter 16

You and Yuki slowly turned towards the crowd and gave them a nervous laugh. Both you and Yuki tossed Yuri your books and took off running, followed by a mob of angry girls.

"Hey Disciplinary Committee! Explain yourself!" Shouted one student.

"(Name) Cross! We want answers!!" Cried another.

"Ah! Why does it have to be me that's targeted?!" You whined.

"I know!" Yuki agreed.

You turned and gave her a anime mean look.

"Hey, it should be you who's getting chased not me. You're Aidou's rival for Kaname!" You shouted.

"Hey that is not true!" Yuki blushed like a child.

Yuki then found her way out of the situation. She hopped up and hanged from a railing, not even noticing that she left you to deal with the mob. She hovered herself over the railing and sighed with relief.

"I see you're having a hard time being chased too." Takuma laughed as he squatted down low so the girls won't see him.

Yuki was taken by surprise to see him there.

"Takuma, where's Maria?" Yuki asked while she joined the hiding spot.

"Well, she kinda took off while the Day class girls were chasing after me..." he exclaimed.

"She ran away?" Yuki groaned as her sweat dropped. "Having to do things like this...It must be hard to be the Class Vice President." she added with sympathy.

"Well...I mean...if Kaname asked, everyone in the Night Class would probably do it." Takuma proclaimed. "A Pureblood vampire has countless powers. One is make vampires that aren't Purebloods obey." He explained with a hint of softness in his eyes. "Kaname acts on his own but never uses his power that way." he added with a small grin. "So, I take care of things instead." he finished.

Yuki gave him a warm smile after hearing about Kaname.

"Say...will (Name) be alright? I noticed her being chased by the girls after you climbed up here." Takuma pointed out.

Yuki blinked and turned to her side and her mouth dropped at what she had done.

"Yuki, when we get out of this, you so owe me." you said as you glanced over to find out that Yuku wasn't with you. "Eh?! Yuki?! Oh, don't leave me all alone!" You cried as you continued to run for your life.

You kept on running away from the mob of girls until your thighs felt numb. You finally get out of the school and found a tree to hide in so you climbed up a tree and hid behind the branches and leaves.

"Where did she go?" A girl wondered.

"Maybe she went this way!" Said another, leading the group away from the tree you were hiding in.

You sighed with relief and leaned back on the branch when your hair got caught in a small twig. You unruffled your hair from the twig when your favorite sparkly red and white ribbon fell out of your hair due.

"Oh my." said a sweet voice.

You froze in motion, wondering if the students were back and slowly looked down to see that it was only Maria Kurenai with your ribbon on top of her head. She picked it up and examined it.

"My, what a pretty ribbon." she admired the beauty of your ribbon you got from Yuki. "I wonder who it belongs to." she grinned as she glanced up at the tree you were in.

You knew well that hiding from a vampire wasn't worth it since they can smell your human scent.

"It's mine." you answered as you jumped down from the tree.
