"There was a time 4 years ago...when Yuki patted my head until I fell asleep."

{at Cross Academy}

It was mid-day for the Day Class and your class just finished a test. Everyone seemed lively, chatting away while you and Zero struggled to stay awake. Well...Zero was knocked out while you barely had your eyes open. You wore of course your school uniform but with your (h/l) (h/c) hair down, your sparkly red and white ribbon tied in a cute bow at the back of your head.

"I'm guessing you didn't get a wink of sleep either huh?" you yawned, poking Zero.

"Mm..." was all Zero said.

You giggled and began patting his head, which made Zero's eyes shoot open as he stared at you. You stopped, lifting your hand off his head.

"Oh, sorry. Is that too weird? I just thought that maybe patting your head would help you fall asleep easier. Sorry." you explained, a little embarrassed.

Zero gave you a soft look and shook his head, giving you a sign that he didn't mind. You gave him a warm smile then continued patting his head.

"Watching him sleep like this...he looks like an innocent child." you thought to yourself as you giggled a little.

Suddenly there was a loud thump.

"HEY!!" cried a female student.

Both you and Zero glanced over to see a Day Class female student collapsed on the floor, then a lot of the classmates began surrounding the girl.

"Huh? What happened?" one asked.

"I dont know, she just suddenly collapsed." a female student replied, which must be a friend. "Someone get a doctor!" she cried.

You and Zero then noticed on the unconscious girl's neck...

"Puncture wounds..." both of you thought.

You and Zero stood up and walked over to the girl on the floor.

"Ok everyone step back! Give her some space!" you instructed, waving back the crowd of students as Zero scooped her up in his arms.

"I'll take her to the infirmary." Zero assured the girls' friend then carried her off. "(Name)!" he called out to you.

"Oh right! Coming!" you called out, then looked at the girls' friend and smiled. "Don't worry. We'll make sure she gets full medical attention." you said then ran off after Zero.

Ichijo stepped inside Kaname's room with a troubled look on his face.

"Sorry for waking you so early, Kaname." Ichijo apologized. "Bad things keep happening. Someone drank blood from a girl in the Day Class. She collapsed in the classroom. They Day Class believes it was anemia..." he finished.

{In the headmaster's office}

You, Yuki, Zero, and Kaname stood before Headmaster Cross with troubled expressions.

"I apologize, Headmaster. It seems I wasn't able to keep an eye on everyone." Kaname spoke.

"No,no, it doesn't mean that a Night Class student did it." Headmaster Cross waved his hand in front of him and smiled. "The Senate summoned you, and you were fatigued, don't worry about it." he added. "The Guardians are here to prevent these things from happening. We just have to be on the lookout from now on." he assured him. "Fortunately, the girl who fainted doesn't remember who drank from her...actually, she doesn't remember anything about it. The vampire must have sealed her memories." he added pushing up his glasses.
