"How...? How could I let a friend do this...?" You said as you placed your fist down onto the bridge. "Khun... We never got to know each other for long... But I actually wanted to be your friend..." You were too caught up in seeing your friend go overboard, that you didn't notice that Quant got back up and snatched Anaak's badge. The test was over before you knew it, and team A was then in the waiting room.
"Damn it!" Shibisu whined as one of the teammates placed a bandage on his wounds.
"Would you stop moving?" The teammate scolded him.
"How was he able to climb up from all the way down there? What kind of freak of nature is he?"
"It's my fault..." You heard a familiar voice.
"Khun? You're okay?" You said as you blinked a few times. "You blue haired jerk! I thought you got seriously hurt!" You raised your fist up, only to shrink back and wince in pain. You then went over to the girl who was treating Shibisu, so that you could also have your injuries looked at.
"It was foolish of me to underestimate a ranker's strength... and I was so confident when you made me your leader. You all trusted me and I ruined everything because I made the dumb plan to capture their 'it'. I'm sorry..." Khun buried his face into his arms against the table. A realization came over you. 'You did this on purpose, so Bam could pass, didn't you? What a white lie, Khun. But... you are a good friend.'
"You don't have to apologize to us, I mean right?" Shibisu spoke up.
"Your strategy was one of the best I've ever heard of, Khun," Narae said in her soft cute voice. Others joined in.
"Yeah! You did your best!" You said, which was the truth, "just try not to cause anymore scares, okay?"
"Cheer up, okay?" Shibisu added. Khun looked up with a soft expression that you had never seen before. 'I know this has to be an act, but... he's... just... so... cute...' You mentally slapped yourself.
"Shibisu... (Name)... thank you." Khun smiled softly. 'H-he thanked me? I-' You felt heat rush to your face. The moment was short-lived, as Laure's snoring interrupted it. You caught a hint of Khun's smirk. 'I knew it.'
It was team B's turn to start, but after your fight against Quant, you could barely keep your eyes open anymore. Unbeknownst to you, both you and a certain light blue haired boy fell asleep while seated next to each other.
After quite some time, you woke up, nearly a few inches away from Khun. You jumped at the sight of the blue haired boy that was sleeping next to you, and inched away. When you got up, you saw some shocked faces, and others that were solemn.
"H-hey..." you trailed off, nervous from both waking up next to Khun, along with the expressions of your teammates, "What happened...?"
"Team B won. They stole the ranker's badge," said Shibisu.
"That's great for them, though, right? I mean... Bam will get to pass."
"Yeah, but... Hoh died..."
"Hoh... died...?" Your hands shook. You were never close to the long blonde haired boy, but you knew that his death most likely impacted Bam heavily. After all, those two were in the same class together. Khun shortly woke up and everyone walked to the cafeteria together. Everyone except Bam and Rachel.
"And Rachel..."
"What about her? Don't tell me she died too..." You furrowed your eyebrows, as your heart sank for how poor Bam must be feeling.
