As If I'd Ever Fall For You: Khun x (fem)Reader

It's been six years since you joined Khun. Six years since the teams split into two. And six years since Bam died. You sighed as you continued sweeping the floor in the common area. Khun was out, trying to recruit yet another member to add to the team. There was already five members, plus yourself... How many more people did Khun need? You didn't mind your teammates; they were better company than Rachel. You just never felt the connection with them, like you did with your friends that you made six years ago.

Despite having been with Khun all this time, the two of you never really grew much closer; he was always too focused on what Rachel would plot next, or trying to avenge Bam's death. He never had the time to just relax for a moment, nor did he have the time for you, and that was frustrating. Granted, you never made it known to him. In fact, you never had the guts to tell him. You wanted to be more than just a spy to keep tabs on Rachel, and pretending to be her caretaker. Just then, you heard the door open.

"You're back, Khun," you heard Novick say. You instantly lit up and smiled to yourself at the sound of the blue haired young man coming back to your "home" on the 20th floor.

"Yes. Nothing new?" Khun asked.

"I wish. Did you get this guy?"

"He was getting cheeky with me, so I got rough. He'll wake up soon, so teach him a lesson." You saw Khun as he walked up the stairs.

"Welcome back, Khun," you said with a soft smile. After all these years, he has been growing into a handsome young man, not that he wasn't already handsome to you to begin with. You stopped ignoring your feelings over the course of these past six years; you knew this man made your heart beat outside your chest.

"Hello, (name). How has our friend Rachel been?" Khun asked. He often asked you that as a secret way to see if any new information arose. 'Ah, typical Khun. Only asking about what's important.'

"She's been as fine as ever, albeit bored" you replied, in your code way of saying "Nothing new, but keep watch."

"I see. Well, thank you (name) for taking such good care of her."

"Of course." You smiled, a little sadly, and walked downstairs. You heard Khun go into Rachel's room to talk to her.

"Who... who are you?" You heard a voice ask. You looked over and saw a figure that you didn't recognize, along with one of your teammates, Novick.

"I'm Novick, the spear bearer of Khun's team. Nice to meet you. Welcome to our team," said Novick as he stuck out his hand for the other figure to shake it.

"I'm a scout. My name's Edin Dan and I'm a speedster," said the figure.

"Oh! You're the scout that Khun was telling us about," you said as you walked into the room. "I'm (name). I'm also a scout."

"All the other members are waiting outside... so I'll introduce them to you in a minute," Novick explained to Dan, "Before we leave, got any questions?"

"Why is that Khun guy going up the tower this way? Forcing teammates to join him..." Dan asked.

"There's a girl upstairs called Rachel. She can't use her legs. I heard that he's going up the tower to take her to the top."

"What? Is she his fiancée?" Dan remarked as he stuck his finger in the air. You nearly choked at the thought. "He's quite the romantic, isn't he?"

"No way in h-" You began, but Novick cut you off. It seemed he either already knew your feelings, or figured that Khun would never be that type of guy.

"One more warning. If you do that in front of Khun... that finger will be gone by the next day," Novick warned. "What I said stays between us. Don't talk about it with anyone else. Now, let's go. I'll introduce you to our teammates." Everyone all walked outside, to where the rest of the team was waiting.
