double, double, toil and trouble

Stomachs full and eyelids feeling heavy, four boys decked out in royal green robes throw themselves onto their beds, groaning in pleasure as their bodies meet with the soft sheets draped upon their beds.

"I swear the food gets better every year" Rocky mumbles, already succumbing to the tempting hold that sleep has upon him, lulling him gently.

As soon as Donghyuck settles on his bed, there's a moment of peace- of serenity with how a jade glow encompasses the room, mirroring the movement of the calming water on the other side of their windows, before Nova is jumping onto Donghyuck's bed, sniffing his face before she falls onto the sheets, slotting herself into his side.

"Did you try the cake?" Hyunjin asks softly, smiling up at the green and black silks draped over his four post bed, "I swear by the end of the year I won't be able to get onto my broom"

"You can eat all you want at the end of the year" Jaemin cuts in, watching his three friends happily burrow themselves under their covers, "Just after we win the Quidditch cup"

At the mention of their beloved sport, the three boys all groan.

All four of them were on the house team- Donghyuck as their seeker, Rocky as their keeper, Hyunjin as a chaser alongside Jaemin who is also their captain. Last years season was brutal- they lost two players to the hospital wing within the first ten minutes of the final match, meaning that Gryffindor managed to swoop in and snatch victory from them.

Jaemin will be damned if that'll happen again this year.

"Have you been working on new plays all summer?" Rocky asks in disbelief- even though none of them expected any less of their friend, "Did you not go out and, you know, have fun?"

"And what do you class as fun?" Donghyuck pipes up, a dangerous glint in his eye, "Shooting a spell into the Common Room window and flooding the place"

At the jab, Rocky grabs a hold of one of the many pillows decorating his bed before launching it across the room towards Donghyuck with a quiet 'sod off, Lee, it was an accident'.

Let's just say that they became fast friends after a prank war in their first year, even working together to charm Ravenclaw's Quidditch team's robes red and gold to confuse the Gryffindor team- they had to hide from both teams for the next month.

The seeker yelps as he raises his arm to protect his face from the attack. Due to their sleepy states, when the pillow deflects against Donghyuck's arm, Hyunjin's reflexes aren't quick enough as he let's out a grunt with the pillow hitting him square in the chest.

As the boys laugh amongst all the commotion, Nova gives them all a displeased look as she jumps off of Donghyuck's bed, and instead, prances over to the window- her green eyes wide as she catches the tail of a mercreature go by.

With a proud look on his face, Donghyuck watches as she leans against the glass, her paws moving quickly as she tries to catch whatever is moving, even though there's glass between them.
