"The Appleby Arrows?" Donghyuck screeches above the usual commotion in the Great Hall at dinner time, pulling a face as he looks back at Yukhei in almost disbelief, "Not the lads that used to shoot arrows into the air after every goal?"
"It's cause for celebration!" The Gryffindor roars back, not seeing the problem.
At his answer, Donghyuck just winces as he shakes his head, "But for every point?"
Feeling a wave of judgement radiate from his best friend's boyfriend, Yukhei just groans as he gestures towards the Slytherin, "Okay, well, what Quidditch team do you support?"
"The Falmouth Falcons-"
"Why does that not surprise me?" Yukhei laughs, for the team being known for their rather physical plays.
Seeing two of the most important people to him conversing like this filled Mark with a warm sense of gratefulness. As he reaches for his goblet, the two dived into discussing the latest game of Donghyuck's favourite team, Mark tunes out for a moment, only catching brief descriptions of certain injuries sustained and Godric, Mark is glad Donghyuck doesn't want to play professionally. Of course, if he did, Mark would support him one hundred per cent. But he knows he wouldn't like Donghyuck coming home to him with a new injury after every game.
"I literally have no idea what you two are talking about", Mark speaks up, both Quidditch lovers then turning towards him, "I don't know if you're arguing or bonding"
"A little bit of both", Donghyuck admits, leaning into Mark's side, his hand finding his boyfriend's to give it a little squeeze along with a genuine smile which has Mark's stomach flipping. Observing Mark's own smile, Donghyuck then steals the chocolate button that was decorating Mark's slice of chocolate cake on his plate before turning back to his conversation with Yukhei, "I've also been a Holyhead Harpies fan since I was young."
"Everyone is a Holyhead Harpies fan", Yukhei exclaims with a smile, rivalling Donghyuck's, and seeing them interacting like this is so incredibly welcoming. Still, it also reminds Mark that he should put in some effort with Donghyuck's friends at some point. The only problem was that Jaemin and Chenle were a little intimidating... yeah, Mark was not looking forward to that confrontation.
"Hey, did you hear that the Tutshill Tornados are holding try-outs soon?" Yukhei pipes up, to which Donghyuck hums.
"Them and the Chudley Cannons... Jaemin is ecstatic," The Slytherin responds with a fond roll of his eyes. However, at the mention of his best friend, Donghyuck frowns slightly, "Speaking of... where is he?"
Since Donghyuck had trekked to Mark's dorm earlier that day, he hadn't seen his friend around, probably busy with his own commitments, but even then, Jaemin has never been one to miss pudding, especially when it's chocolate.
"Aren't you excited?" Yukhei asks, bringing Donghyuck's attention back to their conversation, "I always thought you'd go to play professionally with him."
